I really don’t know what you were all expecting

BigBrudder 20-08-2018 10:18 AM

I have a feeling they are going to try and use the Stormy money to bring in one or two new housemates to save the series, like they did with Kim Woodburns series. (wouldnt mind seeing her in again lol).

What competition was it up against last night that it would rate so low compared to Saturday?

Given the buzz around this year I don't think we were expecting it to lose practically 1 million viewers in the first few days.

Lets just all cross our fingers Channel 5 don't pull out one of their crappy twists.

I think this whole president task may be a cause tbh though as its dominated the show and we all knew it was meant for Stormy so it seems a bit meh also we haven't really gotten to see the housemates interact normally which is the whole point of the social experiment because they've all been so focused on this task.

:skull:

This series doesn't deserve these ratings!

We want Noel and Omarosa!

Yeah a lot have said it suffered cause of the Finale of Unforgotten yesterday

Remember that the last 2 seasons have been at an all time low - this series is still, so far, up on last year and it will take more than 4 days to see a dramatic difference and improvement

Why is C4's share higher than CBB when CBB had more ratings?

I’m assuming because Bridges of Spies is a film so went over the hour slot. I don’t actually know though :joker:

It could be argued that ITV’s number gave it a hit? Idk. Hopefully we’ll be looking at a better number tomorrow

Celebrity Big brother- 1.35m.

If anyone knows the share, that’d be great

pontyboi 21-08-2018 09:11 AM

Last night's Celebrity Big Brother averaged 1.35m (7.2%). I think that includes +1 not amazing but a nice 250k increase on Sundays episode.

Rob! 21-08-2018 09:12 AM

Up 60k on last year. I don’t think these numbers are going to be enough somehow :(

Vanessa 21-08-2018 09:13 AM

So far so good. Hope the show can keep the ratings steady. It helps that its been a good show so far..

As long as it's up then it's not too bad I guess.

BigBrudder 21-08-2018 10:16 AM

Im enjoying the show a lot, and from a fan standpoint I dont think it needs to be changed, but from a publicity standpoint i think it needs to have one or two new housemates that will generate press and interest to boost ratings a bit more. I think if it can get into 1.5 territory on overnights it might be saved.

*mazedsalv** 21-08-2018 10:17 AM

I mean the skew is being reported on Twitter

https://twitter.com/endemolshineuk/s...918457345?s=19

It's doing well with the all important young 16-34 demo

Thats great actually, what other Ch.5 show can boast that?

Rob! 21-08-2018 10:30 AM

I mean the thing it does have on its side (whether Frow likes it or not) is that no other show does what BB does for the channel.

Would be interested to know what percentage of the audience that actually is though

I know launch had a skew of 27%. To compare ITVs average in that demo is around 17-18%

Sunday's episode 16-34 was 279k (around a quarter of the overall) which is good.

It's also been reported this series is 16% up in terms of social media interactions than January. Kantar reported this.

Rob! 21-08-2018 12:39 PM

Also, it has trended on Twitter every single night so far in some capacity. I know trending isn’t reflective of ratings but at least people are talking about it.

LukeB 22-08-2018 09:20 AM

MTVN 22-08-2018 09:39 AM

Well that's crap

pontyboi 22-08-2018 10:05 AM

FFS this is so frustrating! Wonder how live feed did it was actually trending.
