I've just found out that Bury AFC will be playing in the North West Counties League Division One North for the 2020-21 season.

And they'll be groundsharing with Radcliffe FC at Stainton Park.

I know that they're not an EFL team anymore, but considering it was a high profile case earlier on this season I thought that it would be good to let anyone that's still interested in them know that they're getting back on their feet to some extent.

Hopefully they'll get to League One someday.

I don't know, I imagine that the old Bury officially still has it, or that the current Bury owners couldn't afford to buy the Stadium.

Denver 31-07-2020 10:53 PM

Karanka is the new Birmingham City manager and with his track record they could be promotion contenders next year

Denver 31-07-2020 10:53 PM

also Sheffield Wednesday will start next aeason with a 12 point deduction

If that ends up being true then he will have pulled off the biggest Football miracle that I've seen in awhile.:joker:

I do hope that he can stop us from getting relegated as that was some really shocking form on the restart of the last season that went by.

And I feel sorry for the Sheffield Wednesday fans as it's a negative start to the new season before a ball has even been kicked.

Mystic Mock 12-09-2020 04:20 PM

We were top of the table for a few minutes.

A fantastic result regardless. Hopefully we can keep it up.

I'm also really happy to see Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday win their games today as their fans have had to go through quite a lot over the last couple of months, a shame for Southend and Bolton though.

Nice to see our teams starting off with a win on the opening day Mock  and a very good result for Birmingham. I wasn’t expecting them to get all 3 points in that game considering how well Brentford performed last season so hopefully the blues can keep that momentum going.

We had 3 players making their debuts yesterday and they all played really well. Connor Washington got a goal on his debut and Alex Gilbey got a great assist on the first goal so at least we’ve got something to cheer about at the moment. God knows what’s going on with the ownership tho.

Nicky91 13-09-2020 04:29 PM

hope all football competitions get volded by the time second wave arrives

joeysteele 13-09-2020 04:51 PM

I'd have loved another goal or two for Birmingham.
These close matches worry me.

However, I'm happy with any win, I just hope they string them together.
I was really glad when I saw full time come up though.

Nicky91 13-09-2020 04:54 PM

but if it does get volded, just saying it out of precaution not us getting that disappointed again with tears

so enjoy every match 110%, just fun

We’ve got West Ham in the second round of the Carabao Cup tonight. The last time we played each other was back in Feb 2007 during our last season in the premier league where we won 4-0 (not that it mattered). Never realised it had been that long .

We always do crap in this cup tho we can never get past the 2nd round so I’m sure The Hammers will have this in the bag. Would be good if they started Josh Cullen tho, we had him on loan from West Ham for two seasons and he was a great player for us, defo worth giving him a chance .

I'm still shocked now at how we pulled off that victory.

I doubt that we'll get anything against Swansea though.

And that's a good goal from Charlton, hopefully the ownership situation will be sorted out soon.

Hopefully the goals will come more naturally as the season progresses Joey.

Really hope so too Mock.
I think it's going to be a challenging league this season, moreso than previous.

Nicky91 15-10-2020 07:51 AM

Phillip Cocu has one last chance this weekend by Derby County, if they do not book a decent result against Watford then he'll be replaced as manager

and Mel Morris already has one name in mind, current assistent manager Wayne Rooney (for his debut as manager)

i feel sad for Cocu, he had been a amazing manager for PSV, had a good start but after injuries, loads of injuries, reckless behaviour by some players i had read, not too well results wise here

Mystic Mock 17-10-2020 04:05 PM

Blues were absolutely shocking today by all accounts, but somehow the Refereeing was even worse.

A penalty that wasn't a penalty (and I mean blatantly wasn't a penalty) and we have a goal disallowed at the end when the Referee should've really evened the mistakes out instead of clearly handholding Wednesday to a victory.

Hello Joey.

Tbh it's looking like another brutal season ahead for us, especially with the Referees taking a **** pill in all of our matches.

I fear your right.

Better wear gloves when I'm watching or listening to Birmingham's matches.
I fear a lot of nail biting times.:joker:

Same here.:joker:

Personally though I would love to see Callum Paterson suspended for the next 3 games for Sheffield Wed for what's been one of the worst dives of the season so far, and Graham Scott and his Assistant need to be fined and suspended for a really long time after blatantly rigging it for Sheffield Wednesday to win.

In my eyes there's no point to us even trying to play well if we are gonna get supporters of the opposition team as the Referee (which he clearly must be) although obviously as a side note we do need to score more goals.

Yes Mock.
We must start to attack from the start and get the ball in the back of the net.

This is a hard table again this season.
Draws won't be enough.
We must start to at least win and build up our home points.

Of course I do think teams are affected by the behind closed doors playing too.
That's however a problem for all the teams.

Still it's early days.
Let's hope for a springboard soon.

We really need to be able to score against Norwich I think because we're not likely to limit them to only one goal.

Oh and I agree with you that the behind closed doors matches are ****ing over a lot of teams, we do need to rise above that though as the second city team we need to prove why we're one of the big boys of the Championship.

Aw c' mon twice in 4 days for anxiety to set in.
That's not fair.
Doubt my nerves can stand it Mock.:joker:
