Sad, but at least it gives them closure

caprimint 07-02-2019 10:30 PM

So so sad, RIP Emiliano :(

Shaun 08-02-2019 01:25 AM

Horrible. Hope the pilot is found and the search isn't just suspended because the celebrity victim has been found, though.

Yeah was thinking that too, for that reason I hoped it was the pilot

RIP

Cherie 08-02-2019 07:45 AM

Very sad but hope they continue until they find the pilot

Strictly Jake 08-02-2019 08:11 AM

Awww I mean it's unfortunately obvious that he died but the fact they found his body confirms it to the family but at least they have closure and can put him to rest. RIP

Nicky91 08-02-2019 08:40 AM

RIP Emiliano :(

seems fishy though, is it really him, or did they say this to give family closure sorry to ask these questions, but i wonder how they have confirmed it was him

was there DNA confirmation it was Emiliano?

Why? They would have confirmed it with dental records. I would say it would be highly illegal and extremely unethical to pretend they found him :skull:

yeah true, and hope the search keeps going on, for the pilot for also closure for his relatives/loved ones

Nicky91 08-02-2019 09:16 AM

i'd say Cardiff should pay Nantes the transfer money anyway, since he did sign the contract there in Cardiff, and this isn't breach of contract but more a sad tragic accident

if they didn't sign him, he wouldn't have gotten on this plane and probably still playing for Nantes as we speak

not pointing blame at cardiff as this was a tragic accident, more the blame at whoever wanted Emiliano to fly with such a small untrustworthy airplane as he said on whatsapp ''feels like the plane is breaking up'' so it wasn't in a good condition this plane, and yet they told him it was safe enough to fly in this plane

Mystic Mock 08-02-2019 10:47 AM

RIP Emiliano Sala.

Hopefully the Pilot will be found, and hopefully a small chance that he might be alive.

Such a tragic incident will not be forgotten by me personally as it could've been so easily avoided.

I read he didn't even want to move, he was happy at Nantes and had been there since he was 15, it was a move driven by the Club as he was out of contract in 18 months and his agent

oh, and if he was so long at Nantes, couldn't they just have offered him a new contract

but we can talk about this all we want, i just am feeling more sad when i do, so let's not discuss the ifs anymore

don't want to feel sadder than i already am about this tragedy

Eddie. 08-02-2019 11:47 AM

Such a promising life cut short :(

That's why I won't EVER fly on small planes...

I am not discussing 'ifs' I was just responding to you saying it was his dream

he was scoring goals and was 28 so it was time to sell him and make a profit

The point is the search only resumed because some football players funded it so it's less likely to continue to be funded now the footballer has been found. Hopefully it will continue though.
