I got the Man City goal alert on my watch in the 90th minute and it was followed up with another notification a couple of minutes later with the goal taken off. Very annoying

GiRTh 24-08-2019 05:38 PM

And this is why I wasnt so impressed by the David Luiz signing. Completely unnecessary penalty, just silly. At 1-0 we still had a chance. No chance now.

3-0 to the Kings

GiRTh 24-08-2019 05:47 PM

Salah just dribbled past Luiz.

You should win that, you usually do at the Emirates and now you have that front 3.

GiRTh 25-08-2019 07:01 PM

Because we're at home, I'm optimistic, but our defense looked as dodgy as ever yesterday.

Tbh what did they expect when they didn't start with Eriksen? And then Mike Dean was refereeing a Spurs game which will always end in disaster.:joker:

michael21 25-08-2019 09:15 PM

It's all part of the plan now all team that come to the new spurs football pitch will think there can win then

Bang 5-0 spurs :dance::dance::dance:

Where Adam if Liverpool had lost I would be mocking the help out of him :joker:

It’s always the defence that let Arsenal down. I would like to think they would start Torreira over Xhaka as well tbh.

GiRTh 25-08-2019 09:37 PM

Torreira every time. He looked by far our most accomplished midfielder in the 15 minutes he was on. I dunno if he's not match fit but I cant understand how Xhaka gets in the team ahead of him.

Dogeatdog 25-08-2019 09:47 PM

I don’t get it either Torreira in my opinion is a far superior player. I’m beginning to think Xhaka is Stan Kroenke’s illegitimate son or something at this point, it’s the only explanation I can think of why he keeps starting.

GiRTh 25-08-2019 11:40 PM

Torreira is our best holding mid by far. The others have no defensive positioning at all - except Gendouzi but not keen on making a 19 year old our primary midfielder - Yet slow, nonathletic, take six touches to control the ball Xhaka gets the most game time. Ceballos looked exposed yesterday, maybe he's more of a home than away player.

If you want Spurs to win 5-0 at home then just face us.

And on the Torreira vs Xhaka debate I also think that Torreira is the better player out of the two and he looked more lively when he came on.

I also think that Emery should've started with Aubamayang and Lacazette up front as they work well as a partnership.

Theres a theory that Lacazette is a 'home' player. I think its bollox but the comparative stats home and away kinda confirms it. Last season, he scored 9 in 14 at home but 4 in 12 away in the Premiership.

I get it that those away stats aren't amazing, but I do think that having that extra striker on the pitch takes defenders away from Aubamayang.

Spurs will win on Sunday

And its live

Totally agree and I think we should always play our best team. I'd prefer Lacazette be in the team and play as an attacking mid than have an inexperienced player like Willock playing in such a big games away at Anfield.
