Klopp wasnt doing too good till he signed VVD. Lets always establish that when you eulogise about him. I remember the Lovren Gonez center back partnership. :yuk:

We not going to attract a huge name like Allegri, I doubt Poch will come so Arteta for me. He'd be given time due to his inexperience. I heard on a TIFO sports podcast that City are gonna hand him the job when Pep quits - estimated to be around this time next year or 2021 at the latest. He's taken full control of the City squad for at least one Champions league match when Pep was banned and in the stand and he took control when they beat a Wenger managed team two years ago Peps happy with him and has recommenced he take over. He's going to be a good manager I just hope its with us.

Klopp knew he needed a world class CB but he waited along time to get VVD

I dont think Arteta Is the right man for the style the club has played in for many years and for him to get to the style he wants a lot of the first team will need to be replaced

He’s that different and out there as a manager I think he’d end up turning you down, at least until he’s got Leeds up anyway

He's also hinted he's waiting out Man Utd to sack OGS. I'd go for him in a shot, he'd sort the defense out.

I wouldnt be surprised to see a Eddie Howe or Sean Dyche move to Arsenal

Denver 28-11-2019 09:57 PM

But the owners need to pick someone then have full faith in them not get rid soon as the going gets tough and also a manager who grows a relationship with he fans

King Gizzard 28-11-2019 09:57 PM

Eddie Howe would fail instantly at any club that needs success straight away, he’d need at least a couple of seasons to build a club up and even then I have my doubts that’s he anything but a mid table low expectations manager

and Sean Dyche...well that’s just never going to happen

Arteta's a gamble for sure, but he'd be given time too. It'd take about two years for him to implement his style of play.

If we went for someone like Koulibaly in January it'd solve alot of problems. It'd be about 100 million and Arsenal would never sanction it. So we're stuck.

EDIT: And we dont a have a Coutinho we can sell to Barca for 100 million so we're stuck

The owners are the biggest problem. The new exec team are alienating the fans too by sacking Steve Morrow. The problems are more than on the pitch.

Amazing night at Ibrox yesterday. Hagi inspired the win. We were dead and buried at 2-0 but turned it around. No voice today.

Said good luck to Hagi senior as we passed him by the trophy room

I used to enjoy the Champions league when it was on ITV. Who could forget the year 1999 and the magical journey we went on with that great Manchester United team? We were all Manchester United fans that year (except for the bitter Liverpool fans)

Since it left ITV, I've had absolutely zero interest in the competition anymore.

I blame the people that pay for BT sports. If they didn't pay for it, the Champions league would still be free to watch on our telly's.

Gosh that was an embarrassing result from Tottenham.

Championship teams would've put up a better fight than that against Leipzig.

A brilliant night for Leipzig fans though.

Shaun 11-03-2020 02:16 AM

another trophiless season for London's 4th biggest club :(

Crimson Dynamo 11-03-2020 07:54 AM

bloody hell Rangers away leg at Leverkusen to be played behind closed doors, so thats an easy home win. just cancel the whole comp

Adrian needs slapping about tbh

We were the best team for 97 minutes yet our forwards are misfiring and our goalie is making mistakes its like 2015 all over gain

Brother Leon 12-03-2020 03:06 AM

Not the greatest team ever seen being knocked out of yet another cup :joker:
