So he was poorly before he got Covid ? I hope he is ok ,but pneumonia is dangerous even for young people.:wavey:

Hopefully he gets better.

Nicky91 01-02-2021 09:49 AM

i'm shocked he wasn't one of the first ones vaccinated (my mom was surprised about that too)

Ammi 02-02-2021 07:17 AM

...he apparently isn’t in ICU, so that’s something...

Beso 02-02-2021 07:27 AM

Wouldn't he have been vaccinated?

Ammi 02-02-2021 07:44 AM

...he had pneumonia so hadn’t been able to have his vaccination yet...

thesheriff443 02-02-2021 08:19 AM

Unfortunately if his family are with him they don’t expect him to make it.

Yes, that's usually the sad indication of the likely prognosis.
Bless him.

This, for me all through.

Ammi 02-02-2021 10:14 AM

...there is also with Tom Moore, how much he has personally contributed to the NHS in his fund raising...one size does not usually fit all...

It must be very tough for the very elderly and people with terminal illnesses, this is coming up to almost a whole year of Lock Downs and restrictions, it's been hard for everyone but when your time is that limited and precious it must be really upsetting and tough to cope, I can see why he decided to go and I hope he had a blast

Ammi 02-02-2021 10:21 AM

...I have to say that I felt that at Christmas as well, how conflicting it felt because for some, they would feel that it would be the last Christmas with their family but weren’t able to spend it with their whole families...

I mean not to be harsh but at 100+ they don't really "expect" people to survive a bad cold or stomach bug... which isn't to say that people don't survive those... but basically at that age any health issue at all is "life threatening".
