Why can't one agree with certain people on both sides of the argument and not be considered a racist?

She's right in what she says, the Democrats do very little to help and improve the black communities in the US (this isn't to say the Republicans are much better). The Democrats need the 'black vote' (kinda hate that term) or they wont have a chance. If i was a black person living in the US today i wouldn't vote for either party, real change is needed, and it must be utterly disheartening voting for a party that delivers on so little.

Why don't try debating those points then, and ignore the bits you don't like?

That last paragraph has grains of truth in it, but its far more complicated than that, and shows a lack of understanding of how politics and budgets work in the US. For example, the republicans held the senate and the house for 7 of the 8 years Obama was president, and refused to work with him on anything that was a democratic policy. In the one year he had the senate, he got healthcare for people.

Well you agreed with most the points raised. We both agree the problems are there, but what can be done about them? My argument is the Democrats don't seem to have done a damn thing, why do they deserve the 'black vote' (again im not saying the Republicans do).

As for her political u-turn, what's wrong with that? Happens all the time, our thoughts and opinions change as we get older. She's well within her rights to change her mind.

If she said that about Hitler, then yes that was a stupid thing to say. Again i didn't say i agreed with her on everything she says, from the start i made that pretty clear. I completely disagree with her on abortion.

I agreed with them superficially, but I said more than once that there was information missing.

People are allowed to change politics but how likely would it be to go full liberal to pro -trump and anti everything left in about 6 months? Grifting is a well known career in American politics, and there is nothing that fox news and the alt-right IDW's love more than a black person that will rag on the dems. She was no one, and then suddenly got money and gigs because she started spouting mistruths. Should make you think.

What is your opinion (on her opinion) on the Democrats manipulating the black vote every time election year rolls around? But doing next to nothing during the 3 years it 'doesn't matter'.

You can't keep blaming budget restrictions and the economy on so many failings under the Obama administration. You say it's not that simple, but sometimes it is. In the poorer black communities of the US, the illiteracy rate in young black boys is unforgivable, she raises these points.

Well manipulating isn't a word I'd use for starters, because it would be completely inaccurate. Also, it's impossible to understand anything in American politics without understanding how their budgets and the co-equal branches of government work.

You could positively affect so many black peoples lives by ending the war on drugs, and getting rid of the private prisons that make more money the more people are incarcerated. This is just a little thing I mentioned to highlight the issue. Republicans will never act on this policy, because of the lobbying system that is set up over there, and how those same private prisons give money to politicians (mostly republicans) to make sure that doesn't happen.

What I do know, is that it's only dems that fight for black rights and communities, so if I was a black person, I couldn't stand and say they're both as bad as each other when one party defends racist monuments, and the other is coming up with policies that the other side refuses to help implement. Your whole framing is completely incorrect.

Obama was stopped from doing anything because he could never pass anything through the house and the senate. Trump had both under his complete control when he first came to office so you can't compare like with like.

Liam- 17-07-2020 03:39 PM

The republicans when Obama was elected promised to make him a one term president and then refused to work on anything he or the dems suggested, the same as they’re doing now, so it’s not a case of the dems haven’t done anything, Republicans, Mitch McConnell in particular, has dozens of bills on his desk he refuses to look at or even entertain because he doesn’t want to dems to get credit for anything, he acts in bad faith, blocks at all opportunities and then says they do nothing, they’re professional gaslighters

South Carolina
Kayne West did a rally
No mask, No Microphone.

He gave a smile as well.

[Kanye West has officially launched his campaign
for the 2020 US presidential election,
with an unorthodox rally in Charleston, South Carolina.]

[West, 43, is running as a candidate for
his self-styled "Birthday Party".
At the event, the rapper seemed to make
policy decisions off-the-cuff and made several rants,
including on abortion and
on abolitionist Harriet Tubman.

Fans have questioned whether his last-minute bid for
the White House is actually a promotional stunt.
The Charleston rally did little to clarify whether his run
is genuine. But a now-deleted tweet sent from West's
account on Saturday,
appearing to show the song list for a new album,
added to the speculation.]

He is now Pro Life.

JerseyWins 20-07-2020 07:28 AM

Kanye is Pro Life

Or Life is Pro Kanye?

I can’t even find it in me to laugh at his absurd antics anymore, the man is clearly suffering some sort of mental break and it’s really uncomfortable to watch happen, shame on the people around him or allowing this to happen and encourage it because they want some clout, I hope he gets the help he needs soon

Samm 20-07-2020 10:01 AM

this clown will give trump another four years in office

Oliver_W 20-07-2020 11:23 AM

I'm pretty sure his entire career is just one big act of performance art tbh.

Why else would he marry that fucking goblin?

This president stuff is just his latest stunt.

bots 20-07-2020 11:29 AM

The guy is going to be a laughing stock which is very unfortunate

I still haven't seen a convincing argument for why this would happen? How is he going to siphon votes away from anyone BUT Trump? Trump had three voter bases in 2014; the hard red voters (who will only EVER vote red), the MAGA bunch (massive overlap with group 1) and the politically disillusioned/"troll vote" people who wanted to vote for The Guy From The Apprentice because they were "sick of politicians".

I can't see Kanye getting ANY vote that doesn't come directly from that third Trump-voting category. "Kanye for the lulz". Those were "Trump for the lulz" voters.

bots 20-07-2020 12:12 PM

people that want trump out will vote for Biden, i don't think people are in any doubt about how stupid Kayne is. His latest manifesto pledge was to give everyone who gives birth 1 million bucks ... that's sure going to end well

Pregnant Republicans: "I would never vote for ANYONE but Trump and I sure as hell would never vote for no..."

Kanye: "I'mma give all new moms a million dollars"

Pregnant Republicans: "WOOOOOO Kanyeee!! Kanye for LIFE! Make Kanye Great Again!!"

Brother Leon 20-07-2020 04:39 PM

Kanye’s family needs to save him from himself at this rate. It hurts seeing someone I respect and admire so much having these manic episodes play out in public.

arista 20-07-2020 05:05 PM

Of course as he is running late in the Race
he can not enter every state.
