Why was the plate checked in the first place?

...it’s really impossible to know if someone has been racially profiled, if we’ve never been racially profiled ourselves...and I’ve never been racially profiled...Dawn Butler feels she was so she should voice that as she has......I don’t understand the ‘Yorkshire registered’ thing though...why would a car that was thought to be registered in Yorkshire, be stopped...

Top Met cop says officers who stopped car carrying MP Dawn Butler didn’t know
occupants were black because the windows were TINTED as he condemns trial
by social media

  • Senior police official has spoken out against officers facing 'trial by social media'
  • Ms Butler accused police of racial profiling after BMW she was in was pulled over
  • Sir Steve House has defended the officers' conduct after reviewing the incident
  • He says they did not know she was black because windows on car were tinted

:clap1:

The officers had acted properly, and it was 'unfair' that police should have their actions hastily posted and scrutinised on social media, rather than being reviewed through proper channels.

He added officers, ‘didn't know who the occupants of the car were, including their ethnicity because the car windows were tinted.'

case closed, another black hard left MP pulling the race card - despicable. I hope she is forced to go by Sir Keir

An MP who's first reaction was to film the encounter, and 2nd act posting it on Twitter.... not ideal for a responsible member of Parliament I would have thought!!

She was pretty irresponsible and closed-minded, hard to deny. But she's not on the Shadow Cabinet anymore, and if acting like an idiot was enough to get someone removed from Parliament, the House would be mostly empty!

But Sir Kier should certainly have a word, it's not just herself she makes look bad and the Labour Party are trying to fix their image.
