Even Kate Hoey on LBC this morning said the Zoom thing was a non story

joeysteele 13-12-2021 03:58 PM

Parties, gatherings and even work lunches were banned at the time, even moreso in London.

So ANY social type gathering was in effect against the rules.
IF, I say IF he participated in this social type quiz, then he was helping encouraging it.

He has however trained his hardliners of supporters well, that they'll follow his example of muddying the waters and clouding the issue.

My goodness, when Corbyn was pilloried in the press, by most Con hardliners, that was deemed gospel.

He wasn't at the main party that Stratton resigned over but as PM he SHOULD know and be told of ALL that goes on in his residence.

So he gets no excusing from me.
No I don't like him, I wouldn't believe a thing he says politically.

I hope this inquiry is not going to be just a whitewash.
Why do I suspect it will be?

By just listening to Con hardliners and closet Con hardliners, that's why.

joeysteele 13-12-2021 03:58 PM

Anyhow, we do have to wait for this inquiry but I'd like it investigated by a more neutral source.

Didn's someone just get a gong from the Queen for hosting zoom quizzes during lockdown to keep morale up

You seem to be missing the point that there were people gathered in a room together to take part in the quiz he hosted over zoom

Honestly this does REALLY irritate with politicians.
Why make meals of things.

They've been it appears caught out, now even the guy he put in charge of INVESTIGATING the issue.

Why can't they just say, yes, hands up we were wrong.
I for one would respect that more.

However, no, they start to dig holes to try and cover up or sidestep issues, with the result all they end up doing is dig an even deeper and deeper hole.

[Top civil servant Simon Case
set to quit No 10 party probe
amid rule breach claims]

[The UK's top civil servant is expected to step
aside from his role leading an inquiry into
Downing Street lockdown parties,
after it emerged an event was held in his own office.
Simon Case had been due to report on claims
Covid rules were broken at events for staff last year.
But his role was put into doubt after reports
a party was held in his office,
while London was under Covid rules.

No 10 is expected to issue a statement
later on Mr Case's position.]
