I was the same last night. Luckily I don’t have anywhere I particularly need to be this week (other than Tesco every now and then) so I wasn’t totally screwed but either way last night was a tough one. I only dozed off at 6 a.m. and woke up two hours ago. I may or may not try and get a bit more kip later on but at the minute I’m just decked-out having a cider.

My natural insomniac/night owl tendencies coupled with this unprecedented heatwave make for an interesting combination when it comes to sleep. I didn’t have much hope at all, really.

I HATE it.

This has got to be the coldest summer I can remember. We're in peak summer and it hasn't been hot for days now.
