I forgot you have a personal relationship either every single professional player on the world

You made the claim, and that post can just as easily be turned around on you. I don't pretend to know what everyone is thinking, but I do know that not everyone thinks exactly the same way.

This for me too.

It is desperately sad to lose Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11.
It is odd in a way how her just being there, was in fact a part of our lives.

Even after her loss of Prince Philip her devotion to duty continued.
There are many ways respect can be shown.
It doesn't have to be in the avoidance of life and events.

Her Majesty's example was to carry on with duty and I really doubt, (obviously I cannot say with certainty), however I do personally doubt cancelling things would be her wishes.

So I think the post above as to a rendition of the National anthem.
With a period of silence also.
Would be as fitting as to respect and also possibly more in line with Her Majesty's own wishes.

I think you need to prepare yourself for the next time Liverpool play, too. Not a famously royalist set of supporters.

With all due respect niahm, your comment was about foreigners not caring about the death of the longest reigning monarch of the uk..not about football being cancelled.

The vast majority do though, show some bloody respect to them. Seems to me it's the ones who dont care that are making the most noise.

Very disrespectful to the people mourning.

surprised at the decision by the Prem as the Cabinet office advice was to wear armbands, play the anthem and have a minutes silence, I guess they felt the minutes silence might not be observed very well so they have decided against the matches going ahead?

Nicky91 09-09-2022 12:27 PM

european cup football has to go ahead though

either go ahead or english teams losing 0-3 without playing ;)

because there is no time to postpone we need to finish in time before the world cup

Respect is a 2-way street.People aren't asking for respect, they're demanding compliance.

Well its seems the FA were given the choice and chose not to play. Lots of people complaining they can't watch regular shows but this is a massive event . So many people will have to grin and bear it.

I think it is the wrong call so close to weekend, when people will have booked hotels and trains and stuff.... I don't think Her Maj would approve as Joey said she was one to carry on

yeah premier league the FA got everything to decide about, but not champions league, europa league, conference league

you either play there or you lose reglementary 0-3 and english football loses out on many points for the ranking compared to other countries who do play

and if england refuses to play here well then cypriot teams can also refuse to play since she was also their queen part of commonwealth

A 3-0 loss sounds like progress. I'm in.

You seem to be demanding we all apply to your individual needs. Well I'm sorry, but when something like this happens you will do as your told. No ifs, no buts.

If a member of your family pissed off to the football instead of a funeral you would surely be bothered. The queen is the mother of our United kingdom, we should all be part of that family.

Ps I dont really know either...but the only thing I believe deep deep down, is all this rain is the nations tears
