I think she is being very selective now as to anything she knew or even suspected. |

You understand my point though? He wouldn’t have told her or anyone the more incriminating details just the rosy tinted details Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

In the Mail yesterday, Dianne Nelmes, the editor who launched This Morning in
1988, said the show should be allowed to ‘die with dignity’. But if it survives, she believes Holly should lose her sofa spot because she is a part of the ‘shipwreck’. Her long-standing friendship with Schofield will always be an uncomfortable reminder to viewers of what took place. I have to agree. I’ve spoken to people who worked on This Morning and have known for years about Schofield’s behaviour but were too fearful to speak out. As a powerful woman, Holly’s protestations that she knew nothing sound more hollow by the day. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/columnis...nd-hollow.html |
My opinion on the Holly situation remain the same I think. Yes I think she's known more than she let on (earlier than she let on) but I can actually appreciate that she's been in a genuinely tough position and with limited influence (compared to Schofield) ... as I said on the other thread, I'd factor in that Philip is clearly a highly charismatic individual who she thought of as a good friend, and what he had done "was technically legal".
However she needs to leave This Morning. Whether that means the show continuing with new hosts, or being put out of its' misery and replaced with a new format, she is too wrapped up in the current situation to continue in that role. Dignified thing to do would be to apologise and step away before the boat sinks. |
my bet is she doesn't return from her break

They’ll let it all cool down for a couple of months then reintroduce her gradually Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
How much did she know. Is the question......

the narrative was always that they were besties, went on hols together, lived in each others back packet
Now Holly: wait, i had no idea he was gay or having sex with a teenage runner on the show.. aye right hen |

1) It's true that they were close, so she must have known more than she's saying. 2) It's true that she didn't know about all of this... and their "closeness" was partially manufactured as part of a carefully manicured "dynamic duo" that the public was invested in. For #2 I'm not saying they weren't friends, but I certainly think it's possible that their closeness was partially a bit of roleplay for public investment in them, and they weren't ever actually as personally close as stated and he was not pouring out his deep dark secrets to her. |

Has she actually said that ? Presumably she didn’t know the whole truth of when they first ‘met’ and it’s that detail that’s recently come to light presumably Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Does everybody know who their best friend is sleeping with and when and for how long?

To me it doens't really matter what she knew or what she didn't but the brand of Holly and Phil is tarnished so it would be in her own interest to step away from TM as whoever she ends up with on the sofa will always be compared
|
So it doesn’t matter if she did anything wrong or knew of any wrong doing, she should lose her job as well because her friend/person she worked with did something?
Yeah, it’s definitely not a witch hunt |
Here is a drunk MM confronting Holly 3 years ago at the NTS (which Philth banned him from now that he had dumped him)
Of course he was just congratulating her, not sure why she looks so startled  https://tattle.life/attachments/scre...7-png.2205988/ |

From Eamonn last night
"He created an atmosphere where people hated him. People would avoid him in the corridor. He didn't look at anybody, didn't know anybody's name. "Holly [Willoughby] doesn't know people's names either. This is legendary within the production team, how distant they are, and how they just don't care." :umm2: They sound lovely and what a joyful place to work... |
