Its interesting as well that he denys deleting tweets about Huw Edwards that is easily proven so he is unlikely to claim it if untrue and that he only tweeted once he knew the facts |
Broadcaster Dan Wootton has admitted making "errors of judgement in the past" but denied any criminality as he responded to claims made against him.
Reports have included claims he offered media colleagues thousands of pounds for explicit material of themselves. Wootton said on his GB News show he was the victim of a "witch hunt" by "nefarious players". The publishers of the Sun and MailOnline say they are looking into allegations against him. Various claims made on social media and in publications including the Byline Times, which first reported the story, and the Guardian, formed part of a campaign to get Wootton "cancelled", he told viewers of GB News' Dan Wootton Tonight. Wootton was previously executive editor at the Sun, whose publisher News UK told the BBC: "We are looking into the allegations made in recent days. We are not able to make any further comment at this stage." He later became a columnist for MailOnline, owned by DMG Media, a spokesperson for which said: "We are aware of the allegations and are looking into them." The claims - made on social media and in some publications - include that he used fake online identities and offered money to individuals in return for filming themselves carrying out sex acts. Wootton said the allegations had been spread by a "race to the bottom" on social media, and claimed that "dark forces" were trying to bring down GB News. He said: "These past few days I have been the target of a smear campaign by nefarious players with an axe to grind. "I, like all fallible human beings, have made errors of judgement in the past. But the criminal allegations being made against me are simply untrue. "I would like nothing more than to address those spurious claims. I could actually spend the next two hours doing so, but on the advice of my lawyers I cannot comment further." GB News said it had no comment at this time. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-66240304 -------------------------------------------------- They all just use the same excuse, this is mainstream media now |
Of course he tried to make it about people attacking GB news rather than his own accountability, nothing like a bit of us against them mentality to get people on your side.

That “race to the bottom” was an unfortunate phrase to use :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

WRONG Unlike the Dirty Bugger at the BBC Building Dan addressed all this Live |
I can't bear Wootton, never have never will.
I can't see anything positive about him whatsoever as a presenter. Nor how he gets any work in the media or on TV. That aside however, if this is wrong and even if he's been a bit silly at times as to this issue.. I think it's wrong to hound him on it, so get the allegations false or otherwise dealt with and out the way. Nobody should have to put up with hounding and false allegations against them. |

It is true, he has been accused of rape, whether you like it or not, that’s entirely accurate

How nice for you, to like a Criminal's Word |

I personally think he should be suspended while all investigations take place, just like he tirelessly campaigned for Schofield to do |

By Who? |
Even the Guardian
does not trust the criminal's word |

I couldn't give a shiney sh1te. Dan Wooten means nothing to me. He's just another media personality to me and I don't trust any of them.
The fact he's gone back to work and faced it and spoke about on air tells me that it's likely Bull. I've watched in shock at what they've done to Donald Trump over the last 7 years. I've been saying for the last few years that we're living in a war. The information wars. I've learned that there's a lot of dirty players out there. Some I've trusted in the past. There's lot's going on behind the scenes at the moment that we're not privy to. All I know is that I trust Trump when he told us at the beginning that he was gonna drain the swamp. I believe that is what we're seeing. But the swamp is deep and wide and it's international. It needs a presice military operation to take it down. They never thought Trump would win. But when he did, he got access to all the classified information. He was commander in chief of the US military and he went to war with the swamp. I think this is likely distraction tactics from the swamp. A counter attack to the ousting of their side being exposed. But if Wooten is guilty, then serve out the justice that everyone else would get. |
Dan has a pure soul, how evil people can be to whip up this storm for jealousy at his success.
