I get that mixed race children can have lighter or darker shades of skin colour depending on the genetics of the parents, I do get that tbf.

I just don't get why that question would be asked, especially when knowing what Harry & Meghan both look like, the answer is going to be mixed race regardless of if the child looks a certain way.

But if you look at them neither of them look mixed race…in fact Lily looks very fair skinned….but there was always a chance the children could have looked a lot darker in their skin tone…of course they are still Mixed Race but the curiosity was about their skin tone and what it would be.
It was simply curiosity that has been turned into a Racist comment….later backtracked by Harry.

NO, where on earth did you get that from? Why would they dislike her?

Given all that transpired since Meghan's arrival on the scene, I don't understand what you mean here...:conf:

I'm sure some of the Media used to find her "boring and robotic" for William back in the day.

Granted I don't think it was as widespread amongst the Media as it has been with Meghan, but I'm pretty sure that some of the Media never used to be as kind to Kate in the past compared to how they treat her now.

Maybe it's just me, but I have never heard anyone try and guess the skin tone of a child before.

I'm used to hair colour or eye colour, but never skin tone.

My point being that Kate & Meghan are getting more attention and criticism over the fact that William & Harry have issues with each other.

It's either infantalising, by suggesting their mummywives made all the decisions for them, or suggesting the women are bitches for causing and encouraging the rift.

I have.
We have a few generations of mixed race in our family.
My daughter’s partner is mixed race.
I don’t think it’s any different wondering how the babies will look, hair, eyes, who they resemble etc.

I can't say I've ever seen the media calling Kate boring and robotic - Ive seen it here from some on BB though.
The media did use to call her waity Katey because William took so long to propose to her.

The thing the haters seem to be deliberately misunderstanding is what actually happened. There were no wonderings about the skin colour of the baby. There were CONCERNS.

You have to be a certain kind of stupid to not understand why that IS racist.

You have to be stupid if you can’t understand that the father of the child in question was asked are the people that asked the question, ie, his family racist?
And his reply was no they are not.

So if harry says his family are not racists it couldn’t have be a racist comment

Meghan obviously played a part in causing and encouraging thr rift but remember that Kate tried to bring the brothers together at Prince Philips funeral.

Where was it said there were concerns?

They are the common accusations flung at them.

And look maybe they are to blame for Harry & William's falling out, but if we're going to go with Harry's words, then he at the very least has had issues with William for awhile.

Fair enough.

I suppose it depends on how it's being said I suppose.

It's just I've personally never heard of this kind of conversation before, so to me it is a bit odd.

Well we know that the Royal Family in this country traditionally don't have many mixed race children in it's lineage, so it is probably a culture shock to some of them.

Not that having concerns about the skin colour would make it okay in any walk of life tbf, but I'm guessing that's where the two individuals in question might've stumbled onto such a minefield.

The only people that are making anything of this is the media, trying to make a story
