MTVN is always helpful for politics questions I'm not sure about and he's very unbiased and open to new points of view

Sorry Niamh and Annie :flowers:

I was reading through the thread and commenting as I went...:hehe:

Kate! 30-05-2024 02:17 PM

It would be unfair on myself to have the thread closed, I feel. I didn't start it up again?

Phew quite a question this is.
So apologies if this becomes one of my usual long responses.

In 14 years on here, there's so much I've learned from so many on here.
Some no longer with us, like Kerry, Lex and Pyramid.

Also some I don't connect with as before but never the less have been both educational and inspirational.
One is Livia, who was immensely supportive and gave me good ideas and advice on my career.
Whatever else, I've never forgot ALL of that.
Her knowledge and often times pushing me too was impressive.
Because sometimes I need to be prodded to get on with things.

Then there's Jack_ Josy, Marc and Nathan

I could make an endless list from over the years which would take hours .

So now I'll mention those more now and who I still learn more from.

Redway both confuses me and amazes me with his questions on issues.
They really challenge you to answer and I often find I question my answer so often don't say anything.
However on a range of issues how he's made me think is incredible.

There are people too, who once I see they've posted I have to read what they've said
Because they make me think and can change my mind at times too.

They are, AnnieK,bitontheslide, Cherie, just to name a few.
Arista, because I'd never see headlines of papers without him on here and although he and I don't always agree, I read and take on board his views
The same there with bots.

Then to the continuous inspirational ones I always listen to and have learned so much from on here.
There are 3 of them.

Mystic Mock, my absolute best friend on TIbb whose humour is infectious, and I'm.not a humerous person.
I love his analysis of even serious issues and his patience.
I've learned a lot there.

Ammi, whose posts I race to read, full of good thinking, compassion and often from a different angle
I am very often left in deep thinking after reading posts from Ammi.

Kazanne, oh now, my second friend on here when I joined, Mock was first and Kazanne second
Now Kazanne and I would fight like cat and dog on politics but on just about every other issues.
I learn so much.
I always wanted to be and reading all from Kazanne on the issue, I was guided from her posts and opinion to become a vegetarian.

There are others too and even those I disagree strongly with who have taught me something at times or made me think a little more on things.

I'm glad you take that from my posts/threads, Joey. And, again. It's good to be appreciated and acknowledged. And there's a way to hold space for the fact that it's gratifying to read things like that while knowing that none of it's coming from a place of desperately needing validation and enough nice comments to fish from other people. It's good to know people like your stuff and part of what you're about.
