Malta have a super strong one this year which I'm excited to see live!

Yeah i’ll definitely check out Malta.
I’m just gonna get into them in order of when they’re coming up or i’ll overwhelm myself with hundreds of songs :joker: just checked out Luxembourg’s songs… none of them have anything on Tali from last year imo so we’ll see what happens there

Bit of a dramatic day yesterday with Moldova withdrawing which was a shame as they potentially had a nice entry and Finland had an act disqualified which would have been their frontrunner and usual 'novelty' entry.

What happened with one of Finland's contenders?

Mystic Mock 24-01-2025 06:18 AM

Okay I have got my answer.

Thank god that band won't be at the final.

she really done some really technically difficult songs in that talent show

she and the runner up Valerie Hamaty were a deserving top 2

3rd place was an actual puppet of the Red Band and Moran Aharoni  but not a novelty act like dustin the turkey, but also quite a decent singer, performer

also Yuval's auntie is quite famous, Ronit Raphael, by any chance do you have heard of her? and coincidentally she has her headquarters of her fashion empire in Switzerland too (that is why Yuval lived there for 3 years with her parents)

Sadly, it's not just the talent of the singer that's taken unto account. But let's hope she gets a fair chance. Yes, I have heard of her aunt... Although I didn't realise about the connection.

songs like ''Warrior'' by Demi Lovato, ''Mon Amour'' by Slimane are hard to pull off, the former because Demi herself puts 110% passion, emotion into it, very difficult to doing the same, and the latter, well quite impressive singing in a french while that isn't her native language, and very proper french too which is amazing considering she only lived for 3 years in Geneva

Who we hoping wins Luxembourg Song Contest tonight? I personally don’t love any of the songs but i reckon they’d have a decent chance with Zero Point Five or Rafa Ela… though it’s kinda looking like Laura Thorn could take it :conf:

Belgium eurosong showcase 2 for me tonight

last saturday, i liked all 4 songs, but Lenn my favourite (i am a fan of his dad Gunther Neefs), his grandfather Louis Neefs participated for Belgium at ESC twice in the 60's, and Lenn did both those entries as his cover choice last week

tonight Jelle van Dael (from Lasgo) and apparently she is channeling her inner Loreen some are saying

it's Lenn's first ever music release

Rhythmic Soulwave's ''Stronger'' as a performance it was a nice show act, but it was more show than song, they are more something for the theatre i think

the gimmick with the butterflies looked stunning tbh

Luzac's ''Je Danse'' also had a neat and very modern looking staging honestly but song wise it was too similar to last years winning song ''The Code''

Zero Point Five winning the televote, well those guys must have quite a lot of family members and friends voting for them or something  their song ''Ride'' was nothing special, felt very MGP-ish

Nicky91 26-01-2025 03:57 PM

having huge expectations for Cyprus's artist Theo Evan tbh

especially with norwegians like Elsie Bay in the composer team, and mr eurovision Dimitris Kontopoulos also :D

Nicky91 26-01-2025 04:02 PM

my top 3

12) Montenegro 9.0/10
10) Luxembourg 7.5/10
8) Albania 0.0/10

Nicky91 26-01-2025 04:13 PM

i have no interest anymore in Finland

in that big erika vikman worshipping show, after One Morning Left were wrongfully cancelled after alleged grooming by their lead singer, not even proven but yeah the wokes gotta immediately cancel them

Estonia: Espresso Macchiato 110% sure of that, nothing can go wrong for Tommy Cash

Finland: Erika Vikman 110% sure of that

Croatia: Marko Bosnjak - Poison Cake (same fan hype as Baby Lasagna last year so)

Sweden: Mans Zelmerlow - Revolution

Greece: Dinamiss - Odyssey

Ireland: Bobbi Arlo - Powerplay (same fan hype as last year so)

a very boringly predictable national final season

Nicky91 27-01-2025 07:54 AM

Zero Point Five had a better entry for ESC, but i guess nepotism won in luxembourg again :bored:

Nicky91 27-01-2025 08:01 AM

Malta: Kristy Spiteri - Heaven Sent 110% sure of that, considering her parents are billionaires, and MESC the one with most cash always wins ;)

like i said a very boring season :notimpressed:
