Being cancelled is a msm bollocks term it means nothing, has no substance and has no basis in fact
It's a tabloid rage headline only |

GM clip....laugh laugh titter titter......he was known for it and every TV show he was on was full of innuendo and sauce, Gordon, Fred and Gino, Family fortunes, Celebrity Juice, Good Morning, you cant have it both ways I am afraid...he was a golden goose and now he is surplus to requirements, he was more than likely highly paid, but they have up and comings now in Joel Dommett who will likely be everywhere just like Stephen Mulhern..... there is no loyalty in TV to any employees just ask Eamonn Holmes |

This ! Plus i don't know why some reporter is crying over what Gino said about Holly, I guess it was ok for Leigh Francis to be as vulgar & crass as he wanted on celebrity juice... as the audience squealed laughing & wetting themselves with joy at all the cringe :notimpressed:. I don't care if he was doing a character = ' Keith lemon ', surely he was sexually harassing aswell then ?. Funny how Holly probably didn't mind...I wonder if it's because her husband was a producer on juice  . Plus she took a peek at Danny Dyer's private bits in bs name of ' medical science ' . Like I said hypocrites the lot of them . Joel Dommett & Stephen mulhern should watch their backs , as ITV will drop them like a bag of trash when they find other faces to replace them. |
Oh my what is this..

Holly agreed to peek at Danny Dyer's private bits in the name of bs " medical science" .....on celebrity juice. That show was full of nudity & smutty humour. |

People need to remember that actions speak louder than words under most circumstances. |

I would take Fearne's personality over Holly's lack of one though. |

But being serious I can see where you're coming from, especially with the Keith Lemon persona. |

I think it's two things. Sensibilities have changed and the way we consume media has changed. Things that were acceptable 15 years ago are rightly not acceptable now and the two shows I mentioned, I think its right they are no longer shown on terrestrial TV. Full of stereotypes and one has some quite dodgy politics Things like, The Sky Sports Socceretes, Take Me Out, and lads mags like Nuts and Zoo were of their time but not appropriate anymore. I wouldn't call it censorship because they don't conform to newfound sensibilities All these shows are available if we want to watch them and can find them. Due to the way we now consume media we'll be able to watch say, Celebrity Juice but not a broadcast of repeats on ITV2. I've got no problem with that |
…this sacking or cancellation or whatever it’s labelled feels a bit more layered in that it’s not about any kind of ‘change of image’ that Gino D’Acampo might not fit with anymore …we see that a lot as well, don’t we…that a personality is replaced because it’s felt that they no longer fit with whatever that network is aiming to project….but this is very specific in that it’s a very serious allegation about his character as a person, not Gino as a celebrity …so far as I can see and there lies the difference, I would say…and that’s something that will surely impact how possible future employers would see him in deciding if he’s the right personality for their programmes and viewers etc….i don’t even know him that well in terms of watching him but what I don’t understand with this is things like the wording that ITV are giving…like ‘following on from etc/etc allegations …’…but it isn’t following on from because these are allegations going back, some over a decade…?…so there has apparently been this huge period of doing nothing and apparently allowing a behaviour to continue before any ‘following on from’ I becomes a thing….and if no action was deemed to be the ‘correct action’ for all of those years, why a complete overturn and instant sacking now…?…

I mean imo that does come across as trying to dictate to adults what they should and shouldn't be sensitive about, which is not on imo. These Channels should be letting people decide for themselves if (to use the two Shows that you've mentioned) It Ain't Half Hot Mum and Mind Your Language are crossing the line for them, as we are meant to be in a democratic country, not a nanny state that tries to dictate what is and isn't okay for people to consume for their personal entertainment. Tbh I don't really agree about the lads mags either, but I don't really care too much about it to defend it too staunchly. |
