Can I refer you to a post I made on page 29 of the Boris's Bar thread:

Oi! :nono:

NO 'C' WORD DECORATIONS IN BORIS'S BAR WITHOUT MY SAY-SO!

If you're all very lucky, I might hang up one or two pieces of tinsel on 'C' word Eve.
End of story. :bored:

Seen on another forum

Quote:

Due to the passing into law of the Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003 on 2/12/2003, All Xmas decorations and cards are hereby banned from the workplace.

As it is now seen that putting up a nude femail poster / calendar violates most work place equal opportunities regulations, it is now also deemed that putting up any material pertaining to any religion or any religious festival, can be seen as offensive and harrassment of those of other religions and none. The afore mentioned poster/ calendar and Xmas cards and decorations for legal purposes are teated in the same light.

This policy has been enforced in parts of the country now, and a good example to us all is Buckinghamshire County Council who banned a church from advertising their festive religious services at High Wycombe Library.

Well done and keep up the good work.

Looks like there will be no decorations as this is now ilegal.

BusyBee 29-09-2004 08:25 AM

Humbug Sticks - I'm going to send you and Kaz off to a destination very very far away where all the other anti-Christmas (and yes I refuse to use the C word BUT will put it in full) planners can join and celebrate together.

As for being illegal - who cares - I for one shall carry on anyway - and if I am charged (or any of my cohorts) I will arrange for a top notch barrister to represent us. At this time of the year when it is dull and miserable WE NEED something to look forwrad to. Still perhaps if we were found guilty we could have a community rehabilitation order involving making Boris's festive LOL:hugesmile::hugesmile:

Don't you mean Scrooge will be :laugh:
I think Kaz(Scrooge) has been spending too much time with Sticks

BusyBee 30-09-2004 04:12 PM

Had a thought all we need to do is remind Kaz just how big the profits were in the bar she manages last Christmas.

Amy 30-09-2004 04:14 PM

I think Kaz may get a visit from 3 ghosts this christmas Past, Present and Future

I was due for a vist from them last year, but they were booked on Virgin Rail and their train was delayed due to engineering works and they missed their connection. They rang up and were really sorry to have missed me. So far they have not found a window to re-do me as they are heavily booked up and there is talk of their jobs being transferred to a private agency.

Amy 02-10-2004 07:40 PM

80 something days left...........

Kaz 04-10-2004 09:03 PM

* Wonders why on earth she agreed to make a new banner for Amy . . . . . *

Because you are a kind hearted soul really and Santa Claus has added a tick to list of good deeds for the year. Looks like he may be dropping a parcel down your chimney.

Oh no, that's not true, Rach. I would never do that to Santa!!!

I don't mind Xmas really (no, really!!). What I DO mind is when all the shops are bursting full of everything to do with Xmas in bl**dy September!

I start off slowly at the beginning of December, and build up speed until I start my shopping about the 3rd week . . . . . never failed yet!

BusyBee 04-10-2004 09:26 PM

But it doesnt help to build those ticks up towards your pressies does it?

<marquee> 80 DAYS LEFT!</marquee>

I swear more people post on the forum when I'm not here or am I being paranoid? Perhaps I need a Kiss of Death thread all of my own

Oh btw ... We have the artificial Christmas trees up at work now "Jingle Bells"

BusyBee 05-10-2004 10:15 AM

That reminds me must get my little tree out from the filing cabinet - when anyone goes past it plays a Christmassy tune. But dont tell Kaz - she's put it in the bin. Promise not to put it on display yet, just give it a dusting. :hello::thumbs:

Sticks 05-10-2004 04:32 PM

Was that the tree I threw out back in May :conf:

It played the most awful cheesy musak

Remember

The new employment regulations about discrimination on the basis of faith means that all festive decorations are banned from the work place. :nono:

I don't make these rules up (see attached document)

BusyBee 06-10-2004 09:31 AM

Sorry Sticks wbat goes on behind the privacy of my office door is between me and the four walls plus the 2002 BB2 calendar on the wall LOL. Anyway its only a little tree doesnt do any harm to anyone.
