I think Sam! Would have a semi-valid argument if he had smoked a cigarette or weed...but you can't comment on it being disgusting if you've never tried it :)
I'm an ex-smoker.....but I suppose I'll have one or two now and again in my lifetime...never say never haha! |
quit 8 years ago and never looked back:dance2:

On the marijuana argument, of course it's illegal for good reasons, but cigarettes would be illegal as well if the government didn't make so much money from them.
My mum's just given up weed, she's been smoking it every day for as long as I can remember, and she's fine. Her memory's a bit crap, but other than that she has no health problems at all, let alone anything that could be related to it. I think people need to realise that just because something's legal/illegal it doesn't make it hugely good or bad, a lot of laws are really out of date now, and I think it's a bit stupid not to do something just because it's illegal. I know that sounds ridiculous, especially when it's about drugs, but I think people should make up their own minds about whether or not they should do something, and the only way you can make an informed decision on whether or not something's good for you or your life is to try it. Having said all that, I don't smoke weed regularly at all, purely because it makes me feel like a complete moron, but in the right situation and with the right people it can be fun, the same as most other things. |
I tried weed years ago but it never did anything for me apart from mong me out lol. Rather have a pint of lager:spin2:

Making a drug illegal does more harm than good!
Just think if cola was made illegal, people will still want it.. Supply and demand will be there and crooks will always fill that space making money and making the cola in unsafe factories to make the cola! Its the same with cannabis, its illegal so its pushed underground into the hands of crooks, plus the drug is being made stronger that does more harm! Would you buy a can of cola made in a unsafe illegal factory? As hannah said many laws are out of date and some laws should never have been made, panic and political reasons many many years ago. People will continue to smoke it legal or illegal but one fact is that crooks are making the profits.. I would want the government to make the profits in tax revenue to put back into the country and with it being legal it can be controled and made safe! |
The goverment would make a fortune if they taxed all drugs:colour:
|
the problem is if they legalised weed everyone would be stoned for a year or so
and then obviously it would die down |
I smoke about 10-15 a day, and easily more on a night out.
I smoke because I love smoking. Simple really. I am sure one day I will quit, when I feel like it.... 50% of life long smokers lose a few years due to smoking, so its abit of a gamble really, just like it is to drive on a busy motorway... I wonder how many of the anti-smoking brigade on here drink alcohol??? It damages your liver you know  Binge drinking is dangerous, and anybody who partakes in that has no right to be lecturing a smoker. |

I did weed hated it since it made me lose memory and concentration gave up cold turkey...
Hate smoking the smell and everything about it. But i like to have a drink, though i dont like having to much drink because of bad hangovers, and training .. |
Cafe Culture... It can work over here. Tabacco is legal and does more harm, if tabacco was illegal then it would be even more harmfull.. Same with weed, it needs to be controled, illegal does not work at all!

i starting smoking when i was 11 and i'm 13 now so i only smoked for about a year and a half. then i managed to quit it. haven't smoked since and don't think i will again.

On special occasions, yes.

Also what some people don't realise with smoking is if you quit then your lungs can regenerate and almost go back to how they were before because you cough up the tar etc or whatever, but with alcohol any damage to your liver is permanent. |

Tom, how awfully shallow of you... :P
Sam, it was a joke.. don't take it seriously... I already called you a label-***** in the pic thread.. figured you'd realise this wasn't meant in a bad way either.. Hannah, this post is spot on... Needs to be legal full stop! It's doing more harm being illegal, would we take paracetamol made in a illegal factory? No i don't think we would but the old out of date law is making people do so with what they smoke.
The drug needs to be legal, licenced and grown safely for use.. Right now its not so and doing more harm to those that use it, some of it is too strong and mixed with other stuff to make it stronger! Tabacco is legal, alcohol is legal... If they was made illegal would people stop using? It would be pushed underground to fund crooks and do more harm to users! Being legal will control the drug, educate people about the drug, take away the money out of the crooks pockets, will give the government more tax revenue to put back into the uk... The law was used to make it illegal not to protect human health, other political reasons that are now in the past and out of date. Making it legal will not bring the downfall of civilization and make the sky to fall down. |
