Guess I'll just wait till I go into school to get my results before I find out if I've got in

Shaun 18-08-2011 08:16 AM

they've taken the site down (!?!?!?!?!)... I guess getting the results will be fine, but I'd still like to know if I'm in or not

Yes I remember the tension in our house when my sons went through it, once its over the relief! What grades do you need btw and what are you planning to study at uni? sorry being very nosey:hugesmile:

MeMyselfAndI 18-08-2011 08:39 AM

My brothers gone to get his results.

Boothy 18-08-2011 08:44 AM

Is Track still broke for anyone else?

I got ACC, needed 280 UCAS points to get into uni so I guess I'm in, but I just want to confirm it.

Marc 18-08-2011 09:11 AM

Well Done James :)

Boothy 18-08-2011 09:23 AM

Well done, you must be feeling so relieved right now, you and MTVN have done well:dance:

MTVN 18-08-2011 09:48 AM

Yeah UCAS is still down for me as well Boothy, their wikipedia page has been vandalised now as well, it just says "UCAS is a piece of sh*t"

Shaun 18-08-2011 09:51 AM

Went to get my results - did much better than anticipated, got an A* in English (almost full marks :|) , A in Sociology, passed my finance course, and returned home to find a letter confirming my place at Bath Spa in September :D I'm so happy...it's silly, I'm really emotional about it LOL, it's just that I've spent so long trying to make up for mistakes and laziness I had when I first went to college, and it's all finally paid off... :D

Josy 18-08-2011 09:52 AM

Well done guys

Aww thats brilliant, and those are lazy results......? haha. You should be really proud of yourself, and the relief!

MTVN 18-08-2011 09:56 AM

Congrats Shaun :D

Shaun 18-08-2011 09:56 AM

No I mean when I first went to sixth form I did really badly because I didn't concentrate at all and left with just one grade (an A but still, not really much)... then there were some personal issues (coming out, lost 2 close relatives) so I was pretty much not in the right frame of mind to go to university when everyone else did... but yeah... enough of making this thread about me LOL

It's stupid really. They said 4 times the expected amount of people are trying to log on. Surely more or less everyone who signed up will be trying to get on though?

Nice one, Shaun, glad it all finally paid off. What are you studying?

Shaun 18-08-2011 09:58 AM

English Literature  I was considering combining it with a journalism course but most of the subjects on that seemed really dull, and thought it was a bit... cliché... for a wannabe-journalist to do a journalism course LOL

LemonJam 18-08-2011 09:59 AM

Congrats Matt, James and Shaun  You've all done incredibly.

Yeah, I sort of expected you to do an English/Journalism type course .

Good luck with it all, you'll enjoy it.
