Boyzone.. just never liked their music and were hyped a while back.

Beatles..based on their music nothing to do with what they have done for music or anything just based on their music, it doesnt appeal to me and everyone hypes them up and it wasnt my time. *waits to be attacked on having a "ridiculous" opinion*

Lynard Skynard never did much for me, but sure they're not that big anymore really.

Fair enough Ben if you don't really like that thing - but I definitely agree with Kings of Leon. Their recent album is, imo, their worst, but got the most praise.

I don't really think a band not doing it for you, personally, is the same as a band being overrated though. I still fail to see how the Beatles are overrated. They are underrated, if anything.

Yeah i have listened to a lot of their songs before people rape me.
And they are okay yes, but id never buy an album of theirs.. they just arent my cup of tea.

And yeah my favourite kol song is 4 kicks underated song, these new ones are catchy and media covered but pretty meh.

Any band Damon Albarn touches is overrated.

I don't think Nirvana are overrated. They started something. If it weren't for them a lot of bands wouldn't have been signed to major labels around that time. That's a fact.

Definately, I only started listening to them just before their most recent album came out, mainly because they were headlining oxegen....i much prefer their older stuff....finally we agree on something LOL

Arctic Monkeys - Too overhyped, I liked them before they were the in "band" now everyone has a go saying i hopped on the bandwagon.....would have preferred if they weren't hyped up so much......."Don't Believe The Hype" ;)
U2 - Bono is the most annoying frontman ever, hos hypocracy is unbeleivable too.
Coldplay - Much prefer thier old stuff, plus chris martin calling his kids after fruit, somethings a miss with that man.
Muse - I dont get them, I tried I really did, I have a huge dislike for them....

That's actually not opinion though. It's fact. I've read books pertaining to that era and they state that the major labels were more willing to take a chance on signing non-mainstream bands because of the unexpected success of Nirvana.

I don't think you can underestimate the importance of a band like Nirvana and they shouldn't be classed as overrated.

Setanta.. that's what I'm saying. It's not the band itself or the music they made.. but the impact they made on the music industry at that time.

i liked their old stuff like dookie and internation superhits and even american idiot was a pretty good album even though it gets alot of stick
but my god..their newest album is just terrible..21 guns and know your enemy have got to be the most annoying songs ever
and yet theyve gotten more fans for (in my opionion) their **** stuff then theyve gotten fans from their older better stuff

I agree with you about the impact, I think they're a great badn but agree with whats been said already, if the poet hadnt of killed himself would they be that famous now???
