Can definitely feel it here, been hearing strong winds all night and it's carried on all day too. I hope it doesn't get worse.

when I nipped out earlier: it's bin day today here -and I think out of about 40 I passed, only one was upright. Mostly coz it had been blown and was jammed between 2 cars!!!

:D

I went down today at lunch in school and oh my sweet jesus the winds  never in my life felt something so strong and then u would turn a corner after being sheltered for a while and the wind just knocks you over and sprays you in the face with rain :bawling:

Been crazy here. A wall's blown over and my bin eloped with the one next door.

Jordan. 12-09-2011 08:54 PM

For some reason I thought it was a good idea to leave my window open and the wind blew my mirror off the wall and smashed all over :bored:

Not bad at all here, on and off through the day there's been "bursts" of wind but nothing out of the ordinary, "washing clinging to line" wind which is usual here lmao.

Kerry 13-09-2011 02:58 AM

Some great photos!

I was lying in bed this morning with the window open, browsing the internet without a care in the world, and then the wind blew a can of tango off my windowsil, it landed on the bed and splashed up all over me, the laptop and the kwilt :bored:

But this weather must continue, we are severly lacking rain at the minute

Kerry 13-09-2011 03:02 AM

Hardly rained here. Just the wind

Novo 13-09-2011 03:14 AM

A lovely bit of wind

How dare you accuse me of such madness

Kerry 13-09-2011 03:38 AM

I dare. I'm brave like that

Marc 13-09-2011 08:50 AM

Weather yesterday was MENTAL.

The winds were so strong that they actually stopped me on the spot a few times whilst walking. Frustrating as hell. I'm glad I had bed hair all day

Hopefully the worse is over

Best cover-up weather for farting :D

Still quite windy today but not as bad as yesterday. I think calling it a hurricane was blowning it out of proportion http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...ShiftyEyes.gif

Did a 600 mile round trip yesterday to Scotland to pick my new car up. driving up and down the M6 in the crosswinds was pretty scary, definitely thought my car was going to blow away :joker:. It was worse near Lancaster when I was pretty close to the sea

Clip here too, seen it on TV this morning of a roof collapsing http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...-collapse.html

Kerry 14-09-2011 01:03 AM

Still really gusty but not as bad. Heard on the forecast another hurricane is due nearby the UK (Maria or something) for the weekend but they're not sure of her exact path yet. Well, as exact as you can get with hurricanes!
