All good and interesting. Except 6, the second half of which is just daft, and 10, which is not true. |

I relate strongly to the 5th thing you mention above,I love being alone for long periods of time, it is also the main reason I first joined this forum, I was able to communicate without talking. It became 'my' time,if that makes sense, because it's hard to escape when you are in a house with others. I think everyone who has done a list has given a bit more insight into them for others and so many are really amazing but all are interesting. |
#1 I have 3 middle names - after my granddads.
#2 I nearly died when I was 4. I got a really bad case of the flu and all the docs called out just told my parents to dose me up on medication. It wasnt until the last 1 that told them I was completely dehydrated (all fluid lost through sickness and diarrhea), and if I didnt get to the hospital within hours Id be dead. s0b #3 I use Google a lot to check my spelling... hai diarrhea! #4 Im in my second year of A Levels, hoping to do a degree in Psychology at uni afterwards. #5 My parents own a reptile shop. Specialising is snaaakes. #6 I have travelled to all 4 main Canary Islands - Gran Canaria, Tenerife (x2), Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. #7 I once took part in a German Exchange. My partner was an absolute spoilt bitch. We had a proper English/German shouting war in the car whilst my dad nipped into Focus. He returned to utter silence. She complained about everything from food to not having a shower only a bath, and moaned that I wasnt organising anything, when we had a trip to London in motion. After all that I wouldnt change her ever, bloody hilarious looking back! #8 I am a virgin. \m/ #9 Ive been told Im a funny drunk but I do have moments where I feel emotional but can take myself away from people to let it pass without them knowing. Or I just space out hahaha #10 Im not a massively sporty person but enjoy going swimming and playing squash. I also like "pub sports" such as cards, darts and pool (not that Im great at the latter 2..) |

Imagine you are a champagne bottle, what happens when you shake one?.... Assertiveness is cool :) |
I think most people on TIBB generally have something a little socially 'out of the ordinary' about them and that is why I think so many stick around. This forum is like an escape for people. Like Samuel for example, I would never imagine him to have self confidence issues or anything but we all do I think. I am including myself in this and I do mean no offence.

Get that mutha****in Jords, off this mother****ing forum. :joker:
This is a joke about the store that Jords' parents owned, and it is in no way a serious comment. Any resemblance to real life characters, is purely coincidental. |

I'm not socially awkward, but most of society is too stupid and sheep like to know how to handle me. :idc:

1. I’ve lived in the same village all my life and it’s proper tiny, our primary school only had 38 pupils in total
2. First time I ever went skiing I broke my leg, had to be carried down the slope and taken up the lift by some random Austrian snowboarders and then taken to hospital on a snowmobile 3. My great Grandad lived till he was 107, I think he was the oldest person alive on the Isle of Man at the time of his death. He used to smoke a lot as well until he was in his 70s 4. I pretty much have no ambitions in life or any idea what I want to do with it 5. I’m a bit of a nerd for history and politics, I often procrastinate by just reading up on various theories and views 6. I'm pretty sh*t at meeting new people and I just generally try and avoid awkward situations even though I’m nowhere near as bad as I used to be 7. I’m a big cricket fan, even though I only play at village level, I go watch quite a lot of games. Once met the whole Sussex team when they started packing their kit away in their cars which just happened to be where we were chucking a ball around. I was also part of the half time “entertainment” at an England/Australia game, they just basically had a couple of junior clubs, one of which was mine, have a bit of a mini competition on the field 8. I enjoy quite a lot of other sports as well, especially football and American football. I love darts as well and played for my pub team for a couple of years, I’d become awful by the end though and lost pretty much every game even when we played an all-womans team, I’m convinced it was because of dartitis though, it’s a recognised medical condition! 9. I would love to travel in Africa or South America, had the chance when I was 15 but stupidly dropped out 10. I don’t think I’ve ever really done much of interest or significance in life which is why I’m using this to make up the numbers |

Ben :suspect: stop being in denial.. what we had was beautiful.. ever since you joined the big H we have never been the same.
Also I didn't intend to post my list for sympathy etc. I just feel much more able to say things on an internet forum than I could to people I live with/see everyday. As much as I do appreciate a bit of love being sent my way, it is not entirely needed, but is appreciaed. |
It's a fair comment you make there Charlie.
I myself love this site, as I'm able to put all my insecurities aside, unless I'm feeling very low about myself and then I get way too sensitive as you've all witnessed more than once :) and totally be myself. I don't know how I come across to people on here, but I've been surprised at both Marc and Samuel expressing confidence issues, as they come over very confident and personable, nice decent lads. There ate a lot of amazing people here, I've never known a site like it, as someone said recently, it is a community. |
