It's the afterthought of the picture that haunts me. He'll recover from the shock and surgery and realise that he has lost both of his legs. :(

This is so awful. I was out for dinner with my four best friends from uni and one of them's boyfriend lives in Boston, she was nearly in tears because she couldn't get through to him because the mobile networks were deactivated to prevent any mobile activation of other undiscovered bombs but she eventually got through to him, thankfully he's okay. Scary stuff!!

Shaun 16-04-2013 12:46 AM

why are people watching this live? it's a bit...torture porny...

Who is watching it live?

Shaun 16-04-2013 12:49 AM

ok not live, but sharing graphic images (not here) and videos and everything

Kizzy 16-04-2013 12:53 AM

That is a bit sick, it's by no means relevant to the news to post graphic images of the dead and injured just voyeuristic.

Josy 16-04-2013 12:54 AM

Yeah I dont see the point in sharing the images or videos of the injured, I wont be clicking on any of them anyway.

They probably just want to be the first to post them.

30 people die from US bomb hours before this happened

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...n-wedding.html

Benjamin 16-04-2013 02:57 AM

3 dead and at least 30 people have lost a foot, leg or both legs. :(

Ammi 16-04-2013 03:12 AM

..now more than 140 people injured..?..

Ammi 16-04-2013 03:18 AM

..one of the dead is an 8 yr old boy..

..whoever it was have targetted the crowd..children and families..

Benjamin 16-04-2013 05:07 AM

I heard a rumour that the guy in the photo with both of his legs blown off is the 3rd to have died. :(

I'm trying to locate where I saw that.

Nedusa 16-04-2013 06:23 AM

This could be a terrorist attack by terrorists from a country that the US has attacked or invaded or been part of an attacking or invading force. Maybe from a country that has had US drone strikes on it killing countless innocent wedding guests, these terrorists could have come from the following countries:-

Afghanistan , Iraq, Libya , Syria, Pakistan , Sudan , Palestinian territories, Algeria, Egypt , Mali, Jordan , Yemen, Somalia , Myanmar , Tunisia , Iran

And of course the latest entrant to the list North Korea...!!!

Yes that's possible also, but such a soft target would make me lean more to foreign terrorists.

Vanessa 16-04-2013 07:18 AM

I heard about this today. It's terrible. I hope the London Marathon goes smoothly. :(

Marc 16-04-2013 07:36 AM

They're letting it go ahead, and rightly so.

Vanessa 16-04-2013 07:41 AM

Organisers say they're reviewing security.

Marc 16-04-2013 07:48 AM

Yeah they will be. It's a shame, this has affected a nice day out for some people.

Vanessa 16-04-2013 08:01 AM

I know. I wanted to go to the marathon, but i'm too scared now. :(

Benjamin 16-04-2013 08:08 AM

I don't believe anything will happen in London. Bombings like this never usually occur this close together in different countries.

Vanessa 16-04-2013 08:09 AM

I hope you're right, but you never know!

Benjamin 16-04-2013 08:14 AM

I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope we don't suffer something like this. Such a terrible act.

There is no such good terrorist/freedom fighter. They are just murderers.

The Boston Marathon is huge, the whole city of Boston pretty much closes down for it. Apparently there may be bombs elsewhere in the city.

I am glad to hear it.
