What did the Armenian singer say about the Austrian entry?

You do know she's only performing during the interval, right? :suspect:

This is Eurovision...

Something like "I'm not sure if he's a man or woman, and I don't think he knows either. Maybe we can help him decide..." or something like that. He also said he didn't think that Conchita should be living that kind of lifestyle, or something along those lines.

Tregard 27-03-2014 11:59 AM

Armenia is favourite atm by a wide margin, which is worrying :/

Although 14/1 on the UK? How could I possibly refuse?!

I feel it is vital for Molly to get a late running order to have any chance of winning like someone mentioned before. You just have to look at the pattern the last number of years!

2013 - Denmark - Performed 18th
2012 - Sweden - Performed 17th
2011 - Azerbaijan - Performed 19th
2010 - Germany - Performed 22nd
2009 - Norway - Performed 20th
2008 - Russia - Performed 24th
2007 - Serbia - Performed 17th
2006 - Finland - Performed 17th

T* 29-03-2014 10:49 PM

I think twin twin has plagiarised a French/Belgium No 1 hit D:

Yeah, I really hope she gets drawn second half but she only has 2 chances to get drawn in the second half since Denmark were drawn in the second half already, and the rules state that 3 of the 'big 6' must perform in the first half and 3 in the second half.

And looking at our previous luck with the draw, it doesn't look so good.

Other than the first 20 seconds, it sounds nothing like it at all.

It's strange because i really shouldn't like it, i'm not normally a fan of music like that tbh. It sounds like a song that was left of Miley's last album LOL

I wasn't surprised about Armenia tbh, as they are one of the favourites across europe. Azerbaijan i was surprised about, then again it could mean they loads of people from that country voting for themselves in the poll?

Prepare yourselves! Eurovision rolls into London this weekend as 21 of the acts participating at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest will be performing at the London Preview Party at Café de Paris on Sunday night. Eurovision preview parties are a growing phenomenon that began here in the UK back in 2008. They have become a major part of the Eurovision Song Contest preparation and promotion circuit.

Broadcasters and record labels across Europe flock to get their acts on stage, woo the local media and try to pick up a few extra votes that could make all the difference as they wait for a douze points or two on the big night in May.

If this weekend’s event in Amsterdam is anything to go by, all eyes will be on our home-town girl Molly and former British X Factor finalist and London-based Ruth Lorenzo representing Spain. Over 1,500 fans from across Europe travelled to the Netherlands to see some of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest entrants perform their songs.

The two stand-out acts on the night were Ruth and (let’s not get carried away yet), Molly with her anthemic entry, Children of the Universe.

Molly has been having a ball in the last couple of weeks, signing a record deal with Warner Music and rising up the betting charts ahead of the competition. Judging by the reaction of the crowd in Amsterdam, Molly is set to take the United Kingdom back towards the top of the scoreboard in Copenhagen. Hot favourites Armenia and Norway failed to match her in terms of crowd reaction as the concert hall erupted for Molly.

Latvia’s entry went big in the hall and there is a chance the Eurovision winning song could be about how to bake a cake! Who said Eurovision grew up? And to be honest, who really wants it to?

Another of Molly’s biggest rivals is set to be Ruth Lorenzo, who was mentored by Dannii Minogue in the UK’s X Factor where she placed fifth. Ruth won the right to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest and her powerful ballad ‘Dancing in the Rain’ has already hit number one on the Spanish charts. She lifted the roof in Amsterdam by hitting every big note and sending the crowd euronuts!

Other acts heading to London from Amsterdam are Greek representatives Freaky Fortune feat. Riskykidd (who is also a born and bred Londoner), Austria’s Conchita Wurst who is quickly becoming a fan favourite as the drag queen with a beard and a brilliant voice and Norway’s Carl Espen with his big ballad ‘Silent Storm’.

a homophobe should never win anything! especially the ESC :bored:

Black Dagger 10-04-2014 04:25 PM

I think it all got taken out of context, there was a rly cute photo of him and Conchita recently <3.

Black Dagger 10-04-2014 04:31 PM

and omg just read that article, slay a little molly love.

Loukas 10-04-2014 04:37 PM

Molly

Loukas 11-04-2014 04:32 PM

i'm expecting the track to sound a little like this when she performs in at Eurovision. I'm kinda curious to see hows she's going to use a stage at Eurovision though..

Headie 13-04-2014 12:22 PM

^Molly got the best crowd reaction at Eurovision In Concert in Amsterdam last week. Aram MP3 (Armenia) got booed off the stage (presumably for his homophobic comments that he 'apologised' for at the concert).

Think the Eurovision Preview Party in London is on today, around 20 of the countries will be performing

Loukas 13-04-2014 01:36 PM

yep performances will also include past winners of Eurovision :)

Wish the contest would hurry up, i'm too excited ahaha

23 days and 5 hours till the first semi

Braden 13-04-2014 01:37 PM

I can't fathom why people like the UK entry? There's nothing special to it whatsoever. It does say a lot about the quality of music this year, because I think it's one of the worst for a long time.

I hope Molly wins for the sake of Eurovision coming to the UK though.

i really don't like it. I know Eurovision is partly to do with the cheesiness of some acts but Ukraine's entry this year is too much cheese for my liking.
