Luisa calling him the grim reaper was ****ing priceless :joker:
|
Can't we all just agree that jim is an asshole?
I don't see why anyone would like him, what is likable about him? |

He reminds me of Albert Steptoe, gurning and grimacing all day :joker:

That's a little bit exaggerative, it's a few weeks in a house, I'm sure he can catch up when he gets out (like I said I agree they're being out of order but I want them to continue and I don't see why anyone else apart from Jim himself would disagree - I want him to go batsh*t at them at some point ) Also I actually like Jim so it's not cause I don't like him |

Obviously, however, I have been subjected to some clear-cut instances of abuse, and I do appreciate your sympathy. |

I fear if Jim goes ape at them he'll lose his chance of winning because people think his anger is more wrong and undeserving than any of the others anger towards him lol. |

As Jim said when Lionel was evicted 'he was alright in small doses' so even an 82 year old man was too much for Jim to handle. I can understand his take on that, as Lionel was full of life and enthusiasm and never once complained about the young ones having fun - he joined in! |
Jim is so close to going batsh*t crazy, a few have said it now lionel thinks he has an issuebwith being told what to do so this environment can't be too healthy
|
Luisa doesn't like being told what to do either...I've noticed. ;)

I don't think the line is as blurry as you are making it out to be., I think the vast majority of men know exactly where that line is, and hence the vast majority of men have not sexually abused anyone. I don't think you are right about how hazy the lines are. The lines are clear to most decent men. I think men that molest women know exactly what they are doing, and they also rely on people like you to excuse them. Th3y know they can get away with it, because they know that most women will be too confused/ashamed to report it. I don't think it's fair for you to assume that most men don't know what sexual abuse is. It's actually offensive that you think men are that stupid. The men who abused you knew exactly what they were doing, and they got away with it because you didn't report them. |

Of course that hasn't stopped people bringing Jim into the conversation on threads that weren't about him. |
Quote:
I think that's a difference, because there is such a power imbalance between men and women. |

i thought the whole bedroom **** was funny. yea i wouldnt like it either if i was trying to sleep but im not in that house so i could give a rats ass. like Jack i would rather see these people get bothered then have a tea party. when Luisa screamed Jim wasnt even sleeping so boo hoo for Jim. he could of still got in bed instead of laying by the door like a broke dick dog. they probably piped down several minutes later anyways.
|
Jim is a boring old slag
Luisa is hilarious! |

So she is a very valid target on this thread in my opinion since if she wasn't making the ridiculous noise all the time, Jim would not have been complaining. Also, earlier in this thread someone said, why doesn't Jim have a lie in if he is tired, they cannot lie in, BB gets them up every morning at whatever time BB dictates. They don't have an option to lie in. |

He even apologised for screaming. |

..tbh..(because I do try to look at things objectively ..)..although I do think that people know before going into BB that they probably won't get much sleep and should be prepared for that because I don't think it's fair to expect those who don't want to sleep to curb their experience either...I do also think that older people who might need more sleep are on to a lose/lose really because if like Jim, they go off somewhere quiet or get grumpy or whatever then people are going to say that it's their own fault for going in but then if they join all the late night stuff like Denise Welch did, then people say ughhhh, they're embarrassing the way they think that they're 'down with the kids..'/why don't they act their age....I think that whatever they do, the media likes to paint a quite negative ageist slant to it...
|
Old people are like children. they get sleep when we tell them to go to sleep. I think old people are too uppity these days. they should be more submissive.
Old people have become much more disruptive and unruly, and something needs to be done to discipline them. I blame Cameron and the conservative government. |

When jim vindictively banged the cups and for some reason sprayed deodorant  it was before the alarms, not tired then was he?
|
People a lot older than Jim are in government and make laws which affect our lives!
It comes down, I think, to what Lionel said: Jim likes to be the boss but nobody in the house treats him as one. So he's grumpy. |

There have been many older housemates, jim and denise are two examples on either end of a scale.... there are many in between :conf:
Neither can be held up as the 'norm'. |
Quote:
..yeah, I did say if the reaction was to either go off to somewhere quiet or be grumpy..(read my posts/joking.....)..but yeah, I do think that whatever the reaction/if they're down with the kids like Denise, the media will paint it as negatively and then that obviously gives us loads to 'discuss'...LOL... |
Quote:
Oh sorry Ammi missed that bit, loads to discuss this year for sure! |
..I don't think any housemates whether celebrities or civilian are often the 'norm' in that they're specifically chosen because of more extremes in their personalities and the hope of an 'interesting' house...we don't comparatively have that many 'norms'...

I did it when I was at Uni, I was alseep, my housemates came in at 3 am and woke me up with noise and loud voices. So I got up at 6.30 am and started clashing things about and played music they didn't like, rather loudly. They got the message. I would like to see Jim do more of that actually in the house although what he did in youe post was unlikely to be making that much noise, I would have been opening and shutting drawers and banging doors likely. |

He gets kept awake by luisa and dappy so in the morning he wakes up suprisingly early for someone who had such a bad night and attempts to disturb EVERYONE.... Why did he do that, what had liz, sam or ollie done to upset him? |
