I studied hard to get a profession, I have a great career, good income... from the outside people might consider me middle class. However, I was born into a working class family and I consider myself a working class girl, I always will. What you own has nothing to do with it.

So not only is it all assumptions but it's second hand assumptions that you've gathered from a forum and nothing factual.

Ok. That makes the thread so much more worthwhile.

What info has been posted that isn't factual?

Are the posts on social media photoshop jobs?

I don't think it matters considering you apparently haven't been on her accounts, it's all second hand information.

I'll talk to the organ grinder, not the monkey. :idc:

I dont really like Chloe i think she has shown her true colours in the last couple of weeks and is a bit of a brat but the picking at her personal life is pathetic and embarrassing for those that resort to it.

I didnt start the thread and nor did I claim to.

I simply read the info and it lowered, even further, my opinion of Chloe.

I think you should take it up with the organ grinder as I have never claimed to be him.

The op has produced good info though. I'm grateful to him.

Not true. The premise of Big Brother, as inspiration was taken from 1984, is to put a group of strangers into a house secluded from the outside world and watch them interact (24 hours a day, which is something foreign versions that don't have a public vote still have, whilst BBUK doesn't. I'd say that's more important to what 'real' BB is) as an all seeing power has control over their lives. This is true in pretty much all international incarnations of the show. The way they handle their eviction processes is totally separate and down to the individual countries themselves, they are not inherent to the premise of the show.

And indeed I would go so far as to say that allowing the public to control and have influence upon the show actually takes away from what Big Brother is all about, which is watching them interact free from outside contact, which is exactly what a public vote is all about. By letting the housemates get on with it themselves, that's far more pure and far more ~reality~ than when you let the public interfere.

Your argument that 'the original format did this so therefore that's the one that every other format must copy' is akin to saying 'well the first general elections only allowed rich white men to vote so anything else where women, black people and the poor can take part is not a real election'.

Who would control evictions in your version?

The housemates themselves. Far more interesting, far more fair and far more of a ~reality show~ than letting the public interfere.

You don't know that. You just dislike her and your dislike is clouding your view and encouraging you to make a silly mountain out of a tiny molehill.

Yes what a good idea. Let a getalong smug gang form in week one and then pick off all the interesting housemates.

You should pitch that to channel 5. It will have 20 million viewers for sure.

Mystic Mock 15-07-2015 07:49 PM

They're all acting out roles, this isn't BB how we once knew it and loved for all those years.

Of course she was lying. How could 5k possibly change her life? She lives a rich lifestyle.

I love how you keep referencing this smug getalong gang that A) literally only formed as a result of Marc entering and antagonizing them, and then all the Legends ****, an B) was more of a defense mechanism than anything? They really don't like each other that much, they just banded together to deal with the trauma of having to live with people like Marc and Helen.

Oh no no Livia, the latest development is they haven't even seen the photos, it's all fifth hand information from another forum. :hee:

We get it she's got a criminal Dad.:joker:

And I agree that she's not as poor as she's making herself out to be, I think that the contestants on Ch5 are middle class to upper class.

But even if she is working class she can still save up money for these expensive things like my Dad had to on one of these things recently and we're a working class family.

They formed in the first week and immediately nominated Eileen for being too old.

Mystic Mock 15-07-2015 08:29 PM

This is a format that could work for BBUK I think.

Put 16 Housemates in on Friday.

On Saturday do an Immunity challenge, where only one HM can win Immunity for the week.

And then on Monday the phone lines open for who you want to save out of the other 15 Housemates.

And then on the Friday Emma will reveal the two HM's with the least votes to be saved.

Then the 14 HM's vote on which Housemate that they want to send home.

And basically it repeats itself every week from there.

What do you guys think?

I don't know... are they? Who cares anyway? Like I said before what you own has no bearing on how you see yourself. I don't even like Chloe but you're taking your dislike to irrational levels.

What you own definitely has a bearing on what amount of money would change your life.

Why would Chloe claim that 5 grand would change her life?

Its the same with her 5k thing. I dont care shes goes on holiday to Dubai, just like I dont care that that Nik is clearly well off. The issue is the deceit. Even tonight miss tiny tears little 'ive learned so much' speech pretending she had some massive issue with wealthy/posh people, when in fact in those photos shes clearly not any stranger to a reasonable lifestyle.

And fair play good for her, but dont pretend 5k if 5 months wages and play that card its insulting to anyone who does earn 1k a month. Yes people can save for things but a holiday to dubai all those luxury goods would be like a whole years salary to her. And she pretends she slums it in benidorm...

The girl is just as fake as Danny just less deeply unpleasant.

wow it's almost like it's possible for people to nominate someone for the same reason (face to face too!!!) and not be in a smug getalong gang!
