Last night beat CBB13, didn't beat CBB15 - around 280K down.

Will. 15-01-2016 10:38 AM

Celebrity Big Brother 17 Ratings!

Launch night - 2.8M (14%)

Lowest launch figure for Jan CBB. Up against Silent Witness. Still a decent figure.

Day 1 - 2.2M (9.9%)

A good rating for the first highlight show, beat CBB11 and 13, not as high as 15.

Day 2 - 2M (9.4%)

Ok! Nearly beat CBB11.

Day 3 - around 2M (not got +1)

Quite low for an eviction.

Day 4 - 1.5M (6.7%)

Meh, low.

Day 5 - 2.1M (9.3%)

Decent for this series.

Day 6 - 2.1M (9.5%)

Average.

Day 7 - 2.4M (11%)

A good rating for David Gate.

Day 8 - 2.1M (10%)

Another average figure for the series.

Day 9 - 2.4M (11%)

A solid rating for Megan's rant.

NOTE: Ratings have been rounded.

Good rating and last night was an amazing episode.

Really enjoying this series and officials should be good with all the press/tv attention.

We'll see. I don't know how much it will add. As of this moment, the average is 2.09m overnight, tonights interview and tomorrows Saturday and 10:30pm slot will ruin it, but hoping it can end up averaging 2.1m overnights for a 2.5m official? That's what I reckon it will add, around 400k.

Maxxie. 15-01-2016 05:59 PM

Idk what I actually think it'll average officially but im hoping high for maybe 3.0 like at least 2.8 cuz it deserves it. CBB13 and 15 got 3.1 so I might be setting my sights a bit high but last night's and tuesday's i think will add up to 3m officially anyway.

*mazedsalv** 16-01-2016 09:21 AM

Channel 5 (exc. +1)
21:00 Celebrity Big Brother: 2.21m (9.9%)
22:00 Lip Sync Battle UK: 1.63m (8.6%)
22:30 Celebrity Big Brother: 1.66m (10.6%)

In comparison to last week where 9pm got 1.7m excl +1, Lip Sync got 1.60m and 2nd show got 1.55m excl +1. So it's comfortably up on last week.

With +1 it will be around 2.4m for 9pm show and around 1.8m for both LSB and the 2nd CBB show. SADLY, Digital Spy doesn't release +1 ratings for Fridays on a Saturday, we won't know until Broadcast updates on Monday!

yourmn 16-01-2016 09:39 AM

I've heard CBB wasn't available on Plus 1 last night - don't know if that applies to both shows

Yeah just found out!!

I think it was just for the 9pm show due to language. Odd, so that ruins the ratings!

Jake. 16-01-2016 09:55 AM

decent enough figures

I was wondering about the language last night you might know a bit more. Are they likely to get a rap on the knuckles for launching straight into the F bomb frenzy at 9pm followed by the C word?. I always thought the 9pm watershed was more of a sliding scale than a definite line. They seemed to revel in it last night night even Emma looked a bit taken aback by it.

I agree. I think it's nothing to do with the F word but 100% to do with the C words that were mentioned literally at 9:01pm. That's why the warning said "very offensive language right from the start". You'd think that the normal viewer would be like "Oh OK, they warned us and it is past 9pm so we won't complain".

I think the C word was dropping three times between 9:00-9:10pm so that may have been a problem. But I dont think it should have been taken off on +1, that is pathetic! That's around 200,000 people that missed out because they didn't have +1 available.

Cal. 16-01-2016 04:18 PM

So weird that 4 million viewers separate CBB and EastEnders - CBB doesn't even look bad when you say that.

Will. 18-01-2016 08:59 AM

2.05 without +1

So around 2.3M

Will. 18-01-2016 09:03 AM

Low night for Ch4 and BBC2

Ch4 got 700k

BBC 2 scrapped 1 million.

Will. 18-01-2016 09:28 AM

2.4M including +1 (10%)

*mazedsalv** 18-01-2016 09:48 AM

Channel 5 (inc +1)
15:45 - Cheaper By the Dozen 2: 0.91m (5.8%)
17:30 - George of the Jungle: 1.03m (5.0%)
19:15 - Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls: 0.79m (3.4%)
21:00 - Celebrity Big Brother: 2.37m (10.2%)

Not bad at all, that's exactly the same rating as the Megan meltdown. So the joint 2nd highest HL show of the series.

BARB officials come in later, so we will get the officials from the launch to the 10th Jan.

daniel-lewis-1985 18-01-2016 12:50 PM

15 minutes till officials are released and we can finally judge how well this series is doing.

I wanna see some 3 millions in there but that's gonna be a stretch.

I don't know why they don't add the people watching in Ireland to the ratings? Its the same programme and don't like 300k watch?

*mazedsalv** 18-01-2016 01:49 PM

So here are the officials, in brackets i will put the overnights.

Launch- 3.30m (2.80m)
Wednesday 6th- 2.81m (2.19m)
Thursday 7th- 2.71m (2.04m)
Friday 8th (Part 1)- 2.29m (1.80m) and Friday 8th (Part 2)- 2.32m (1.70m)
Sat 9th- 1.90m (1.46m)
Sun 10th- 2.69m (2.09m)

For the first 6 days, the official average is 2.57m.

Lets bare in mind that this week (opening week) was lower than the week we have just had. Looking at the timeshifts we could see some 2.8m-2.9m officials for the ratings that we have had this week.

Speaking of timeshifts, some very incredible ones here. 670,000 add for the Thursday is phenomenal! Wow at Winston's interview being more than the 9pm show! A lot of ~600,000 type adds which is incredible!

Jason. 18-01-2016 01:54 PM

That launch rating is good and just as I predicted it would be. :clap1:

Winston's eviction is quite low for a January CBB ngl. Especially as he was a quite a controversial housemate. Exactly a million down on CBB15's first eviction where Chloe went and KP entered. I'm pretty sure the evictions in CBB12 (a summer CBB) rated similar/higher. But slay at the 2nd show getting more than the first show. That only ever happened with C4 so that's good.

billy123 18-01-2016 01:55 PM

Looks like it is holding up ok. Im not a fan of what Viacom have brought to the table but their only concern is figures and revenue not the show. They are happy for it to be just another sluts on a beach/dwarfs running wild/elephant headed prostitutes or whatever crap "reality" it is that they show on MTV these days.
The dumbing down is complete.

Briancbbfan 18-01-2016 04:42 PM

This is actually looking alot better than expected... maybe some of this weeks viewings could reach 3 million? Megan's rant got alot of coverage? I'm pleasantly surprised by this:blush:

But that's why the younger generation, who are the main people who watch it and the target audience, are watching and loving it, I'm hoping they don't change it as a young person. You're in the minority I'm afraid!

RealityFan 18-01-2016 05:54 PM

Where are the rest of this past weeks?

The other 5 million people on top of those that watch it now would disagree. :pat:

Pete. 18-01-2016 05:58 PM

Lip Sync Battle did well too

daniel-lewis-1985 18-01-2016 06:34 PM

Timeshifts of almost 700k that's ****ing impressive!

Next weeks officials we all gonna be creaming im telling you lol.

daniel-lewis-1985 18-01-2016 06:36 PM

Im still confused why the Irish viewers aren't included when 300k are watching it takes most episodes over 3 million.

Why aren't they included because its a different Channel perhaps?

Probably because Ireland isn't part of the UK, and the ratings are UK ratings so including another countries ratings wouldn't work.

Utter twaddle. It has never been as trashy and scripted as it is now. The whole thing is just being used as a promo for Viacoms other shows.

Yeah it's a different channel. The channel is called TV3 and they both the rights just last Summer.

2.4M with +1 (10%)

Never been as trashy? It was always trashy. Do people forget BB1 and BB2? Mel and Craig basically rubbing their naked bodies in front of our faces? The stripping during BB2 and BB3 and "Follow the van", BB5 naked jacuzzi, Shell running around with her fanny out, naked mud wrestling, sucking of nipples The BB6 orgies that used to take place in BB6, sex in the pool, tounging each other every minute of the day (boy on boy, girl on girl, boy on girl).

Please guys... C5 is CBBC compared to C4.

I agree with this.

RichardG 19-01-2016 03:31 PM

I haven't been keeping up with the ratings but it looks like it's hovering around 2.4? Is that good? I don't know much about this stuff and whether or not they'd be happy with that.

Mrmattybeck 19-01-2016 03:56 PM

Good to see better ratings at last after a slowish start

Will. 20-01-2016 09:42 AM

2.25M excluding +1

Good to see this series is improving.

Will. 20-01-2016 09:44 AM

Second in its slot.
