I haven't watched episode 2 yet I am so sorry darling MB. I will watch, erm, Friday probably
|
|
I downloaded the first 2 episodes of the new Season earlier but haven't had a chance to
watch them yet. I'm very hopeful though! I find Australians far more likeable than Americans on the whole (or the Americans they have on Survivor at least!). I even enjoyed last year's Season of Survivor South Africa more than the US one. I'm gutted it wasn't on this year. :( |
first 2 episodes where awesome i love how we get so much camp life and getting to know how the tribes are working early on.
no favs yet but they will come. |
watched the second episode and I really really like this, as people have said already I like how it's not all focused on gameplay and I actually like most of the cast only know a few names though lol
Sue, Kylie, Flick, Brooke, Kat, Kirstine, Barry and Zac Efron  I think Evan and Peter are the only two i'm not so sure on |

Looking at the first two episodes I liked the first much more. It was a good facedown between the main two combatants, even though I would have liked Des to stay. Both had some focus through the episode though he had more. At the tribal we heard little from him in the edit, and that did signal to me that he was going. The men didn't seem to consider the probability of the women's alliance that much. Would have liked both to stay even, it seemed a good rivalry.
The second episode I didn't get that much. Bianca was getting built up as an interesting under cover contestant and then suddenly she's gone. Was she even the main one behind splitting Brooke and Flick or was it Kylie? I wasn't concentrating because it kind of came out of nowhere, maybe the editors could have prepared it more in episode one. So two in a row who we've been told what their strategy is and then they've gone. Des was a bad player it seems (but funny!), yet it's nice to have someone who you can follow their stategy (at least if they have some charisma). This does happen in the US version, Russell and Tony to name just two. And in this case I can't say many members of this second ep elimination tribe look very interesting. This Conner guy was one of the underwhelming intros, in his case 'a passage to manhood' (the other weak sounding ones including a mother missing her children, and another who wants to play 'nice'). And there's another guy (seems a bit boring) who doesn't even want to be there. |

Des ha redemption :clap1:

Apart for Flick, Cat and Connor I have no idea who the **** anyone else is. Way too many, they should have cut it down to 18 castaways.
|
Bad news for anyone who's planning to catch up: Ten have rescheduled it to air three times a week from next week, with an extra episode on Tuesdays (this'll just mean it'll run for fewer weeks in total, rather than them pulling an extra twelve or so episodes out of thin air... thank god)

Anyone know how this is doing ratings wise?

The three-times-a-week change is more so it can go up against the shows that are topping the ratings, which sounds a bit stupid but oh well |

Just got round to watching episode 2 and I'm still enjoying this! It's refreshing to have the focus on camplife and actual survival rather than the non-stop strategy/idols/challenge/scrambling/blindside we're used to from day 1 on the US version.

A reminder that this is on for the next three days(!)

eek, I watched like 20 minutes of the premiere episode but then Des's accent was Too Much for me so I quit and watched an episode of Kaoh Rong. I'll try to catch up today, only to inevitably fall behind again!
|
Yeah Des is a bit Too Much in general

Welp it's only going to be on a few weeks then? Is it really doing that bad :o
|
It's 26 episodes so should be on for another 8 weeks
|
okay I watched the premiere finally (just in time for three more episodes holy **** this show hates me) and I enjoyed it! I think my favorite is Nick and I don't really know why?
Also, I don't hate Conner [yet] but I am SKEPTICAL. Australian Survivor does not need a Malcolm/Spencer/Joe type of person. |
Yeah Nick's a sweetheart but I'm worried they're going to shove him down our throats, for lack of a better phrase
Episode 3 thoughts: Spoiler: |
Also the Wiki page calls Aganoa "Angola" for this episode which is mildly amusing
|
Spoiler: |
Did you use a torrent for episode 3?
|
Yeah, but it took about two hours to upload because it was in HD/it was double the length of the previous episode, so I'd advise you didn't do that (either stream it or use a different torrent maybe)
|
Mess how come they keep alternating long/regular episodes
|
Does anyone have a link they could send me please for episode 3
