True next gen!
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EnNshvzW...pg&name=medium Large picture warning! Spoiler: |
Gutted, I really want one :(
|
I still can't wait to see what's POSSIBLE on the PS5, because whilst what I've seen so far all looks good, I still frankly haven't seen anything graphics wise that even begins to compete with TLOU2's "burning island". Obviously that wasn't "standard PS4", it was breathtakingly standout, along with a few scenes from Death Stranding, showcasing what I think are probably the absolute limits of the PS4... so I guess it'll be a few years until devs start really blowing minds with this gen's capabilities.

I have to say, ebay prices are so crazy at the moment that if I'd pre-ordered and got a PS5 on launch day, I'd be VERY tempted to sell it on to a desperate parent with too much cash, set aside £400 for a new one in Spring, and pocket the extra :umm2:. I've seen them going for £800+
|
i want one, but i will happily wait until they are in regular stock

OK, so.... wouldn't load up this morning. On screen said there was a storage issue, but then it cycled through to 100% and then turned itself off. Had a look on the internet and seems like it's an issue with the Miles game. Took me about 3 attempts at a factory reset in safe mode before it worked.
Just be careful if you're playing this game I was about level 15/16 and on about 55% completion. It's been working perfectly since I rebooted without that game. |

Fcuking bots will have his new zx spectrum from Amazon up and running before this piece of crap! |
The "fancy" next gen SSD is one of the major selling points of the PS5, hopefully yours is just a rare dodgy one as there being a widescale problem with the SSD would be a disaster for Sony :umm2:.
Of course, on PC we've had m.2 NVMe SSD's for years and replaceable parts so don't have to worry about such things... https://i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images...06/866/24e.gif |

There's a chance I come out of this quids in. Been in contact with both game and playstation. Playstation say they're going to send me a new one out, they're just going through their system and I've provided evidence, so if they do that within the next couple of days, I can send my machine back to game for a full refund as it's faulty and end up with a free PS5 :smug:

...although my wife did almost get two brand new iPhones once, because the delivery fella left the first one in a recycle bin TWO DOORS DOWN and marked it as delivered. Phone company thankfully believed that it never turned up and sent a replacement - then about a week later, the neighbour (who had been off on holiday) knocks the door with the first one. We were honest though and sent it back to the phone company :hmph: |

Just waiting to hear from Sony again, so I'll definitely know one way or the other within the next day or 2. I think there have been a sh1tload of 5's that have been dodgy, so I think they're trying to minimise the negative publicity, by not making folks jump through hoops to get replacements. |
Some Amazon Packages
mean't to be PS5 have found a box of Cat Food, and large package of Grain. Amazon UK are looking into the thefts? https://www.theguardian.com/games/20...nd-other-items |

Apparently a massive stock in the UK (3500 consoles) has been scalped again... lol.
They're going for £850 (disc) and £700 (digital) on eBay at the moment... I can see this going on for a while. I honestly wish there was regulation to force online retailers to stop this from happening, i.e. flagging any suspicion of bulk ordering and stopping it wherever possible. They're going to sell out to genuine buyers anyway, it's not like the retailer is going to miss out on a sale. |

This Morning ITV1HD Live
Has a PS5 on there show. A Non disc one. (not hers, it was loaned to her) Debating Ebay Scams Folks paid for a Photo not the Unit. Well done the Consumer Reporter Lady finding out it's a worldwide stock problem. And Shops like John Lewis today have no new stock. |
i got an alert that Curry's got some stock in this morning. I immediately clicked on the link and there were 75,000 ahead of me in the queue. I got to the top of the queue and then the website crashed

Jet Set Radio and Shenmue were the only good games on it and even then the sequels on original xbox were 10x better

I can still wait... it's not like there are any exclusives I want for it yet... I just have the cash burning a hole in my pocket I think. |

One of the lesser spoken about things is the Dualsense, it's a very impressive controller. The triggers have different amounts of pressure for different firearms in Hitman 3
|
The lack of availability is surely going to be a problem... Devs are going to be hesitant to release if no one has the console. It would be one thing if all the units sold were in the hands of gamers but at this point, countless have been stockpiled by eBay scalpers.

[The PS5 was launched in November 2020 and has been
a hot ticket item ever since, with Sony apologising for lack of stock and promising to boost production. Sony is yet to comment on the latest shortages, said to be caused by lack of AMD chips, but some experts has said the PS5 drought could continue until July. On a brighter note, Digitimes reports that Sony is planning to ship between 16.8 million and 18 million PS5 units in 2021. Getting hold of PS5 accessories is getting (a bit) easier, too . Currys still has the PS5 Pulse 3D Wireless PS5 headset in stock for £89.99 (it could be worth grabbing one before it sells out again), while Amazon has the DualSense Controller for £57.95.] https://www.whathifi.com/news/ps5-re...tock-this-week |
