They're all millionaires anyway, I'm sure they'll get by in the short term. In the long term, they can find a job at another club. They may have to take a lower wage, but it will still be more than most people's.

That's hardly the point is it, its no different to having a job description changed half way through your contract in any employment, however well rumunerated.

I know some people think money solves everything, but many of these players have families and have roots around the Clubs they play for

Wolves are hardly in a position to talk after money-laundering their way through the championship :hmph:

Lingard in on loan at West Ham

NICKP 20-04-2021 01:36 PM

Look at World Series Cricket in the 1970s a breakaway league for cricket where those contracted to play were banned from cricket

At least he said he didn't consider it a sport if you couldn't be relegated or promoted. He's working for these people so I think he's right to at least speak to them before he totally condemns the idea

Chelsea have pulled out of the Super League.

One down! Five to go!

Black Dagger 20-04-2021 06:03 PM

Right. Pull your finger out City ffs.

There were reports that we were the other club uncomfortable. Do the right thing.

bots 20-04-2021 06:03 PM

yep, that's great news

AnnieK 20-04-2021 06:05 PM

Think City will quickly follow suit....then hopefully the rest will cave eventually. Utd and Liverpool will stick to their guns for a while but will pull out too I think

James 20-04-2021 06:09 PM

This has all been a PR disaster for the clubs involved.

bots 20-04-2021 06:11 PM

whatever happens now, those clubs will never be trusted again, and you can bet legislation will be brought in to prevent it happening again in the future

AnnieK 20-04-2021 06:14 PM
