Voting for a failing government that shows, each day that it's increasingly corrupt because it's familiar is foolish though.

People shouldn't tolerate wanton incompetence out of fear of the unknown.

It doesn't matter whether they're with me or not. I can understand the rich voting tory, they benefit from doing so, but the middle and working classes make fools of themselves by voting Tory and they always have.

So pleased to see the great result for Andy Burnham as Mayor of Greater Manchester.

This guy should have been leader of the Labour Party.

Kaukab Stewart has won Glasgow Kelvin for the SNP, becoming the first woman of colour to be elected in the 22 years since the Scottish Parliament was reconvened.

The 53-year-old teacher has stood at five elections going all the way back to when she ran against Scottish Labour leader Donald Dewar in 1999.

Ms Stewart takes over the seat from Sandra White who stood down at the election.

She won with a majority of 5,458 over the Scottish Greens.

The Greens in the Scottish parliament support a new referendum.
They'll pass the request.

Johnson then needs to be made to decide whether he leads a democratic Nation or is he a Dictator to some of its citizens.

Because Scots voters will have elected the SNP and Greens, who both in their manifests were calling for a new referendum.

To really ignore that, is abuse of power and dictatorship.

Sturgeon: 'A quite extraordinary achievement for the SNP'
Nicola Sturgeon says she said all along that a majority for the SNP was a long shot.

However she adds: "I am thrilled with our result."

The SNP leader says her party has won the highest share and highest number of votes of any party in the history of devolution.

"By any standards this is a historic achievement, a quite extraordinary achievement for the SNP," she adds.

A candidate running to be Wiltshire's next Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) has been disbarred after a historical driving offence emerged.

Jonathon Seed was the Conservative Party's candidate to replace fellow Tory Angus Macpherson.

A party spokesperson confirmed Mr Seed had been disbarred, while Mr Seed told the BBC he had withdrawn himself.

Vote counting for the PCC post is due to start in Salisbury at 10:00 GMT on Monday and is set to go ahead.

If Mr Seed wins the vote, another election will need to be held.

He said he had been advised by his party that a 30-year-old drink driving offence would not affect his candidacy and that he believed he was eligible.

Mr Seed said he was "bitterly disappointed" that he will now no longer be able to take up the post if he wins the vote and wished Mr Macpherson's eventual replacement "every success in the role".

"I will continue with my work as a local councillor and within the local community, to which I have dedicated my life for the past 20 years," he said.
