Tom Bradby came with a journalist’s agenda and, politely, began to question what he was hearing from Prince Harry

William and Kate aren’t the innocent sweet couple everyone thinks they are and as I suspected, didn’t make Meghan feel at all welcome. We knew it was Kate that made Meghan cry over bridesmaids dresses. At least she had the decency to apologise and bring flowers.

William is an awful person, which I have long suspected. A vicious bad tempered bully by the sounds of it. He’s lucky he has a brother willing to forgive his actions.

What he said about Charles was pretty much on the money. Camilla also.

Oh Glenn, will the scales ever fall from your eyes. :worry:

Harry is making this worse.

He loves the word "Suffering"

He talks about Caroline Flack
in the book.

Very clever of him to plug the book.
at 1 hour at 19mins

I will not buy it
unless it is in poundland

Tbh I'm suspicious about William as a person as well, I can't quite put my finger on it as to why I feel that way, but I don't quite believe he is exactly how the Media in this country wants us to see him.

However I'm gonna guess that Harry is telling the broad-strokes of what has been going on between himself and William, but I am gonna guess that he is omitting parts where he has done wrong to William as well, because tbf it's Human Nature to be the victim when feeling indignant about something.

But I definitely believe Harry that William is more unlikable than our Media would care to admit.

I’m not blinded by hatred. I’d rather hear his account of things than rely on tabloids like everybody else.

Will have to watch the whole thing, must say I was pretty impressed with what I saw of Tom, didnt know the two of them went to school together, but he appeared very professional and was doing his job rather than chatting with an old friend.

But only someone totally heartless didn’t get choked up when he read out the part of William telling him he loved him and only wanted him to be happy.

The Times
Prince Harry interview review — will the whingeing ever stop?
By Carol Midgley
(EXCERPTS)

OK, we heard him say repeatedly that he wants “accountability”, whatever that means, but what’s the endgame in hanging all this dirty family washing on the line. Revenge? Reconciliation? Your own regular slot on Loose Women?

Bradby, an old chum of Harry’s, did rattle him a couple of times with some right hooks. Towards the end Bradby suggested, possibly to national cheers, that many people in Britain wish he would “shut up and stop talking about it”. “Stop talking about what?” asked Harry, askance. Erm, take a wild guess.

Bradby also highlighted the hypocrisy of Harry railing for years against invasions of his own privacy while relentlessly invading that of his “nearest and dearest”, ie his father and brother without their permission to sell a book.

There followed some waffle from Harry about his family having briefed the press against him, an accusation he made over and over again. But who? Which stories? Give us evidence. Who exactly is “in bed with the devil”?

When Bradby asked him what he would say to William if he were watching, Harry bridled indignantly, clutching his pearls, saying that “what I have to say to them and what they have to say to me will be in private. Hello? Irony alert.

This is the man who had just described his brother pushing him over in a row “breaking my necklace’ and told the entire world of a deeply intimate moment when William had sworn on his dead mother’s life that he only wanted Harry to be happy. Amazing.

At one point Harry spoke of people wrongly thinking they moved to America “for money” which might have been a good time to mention the $100million deal with Netflix and the $20 million for his book.
Overall Bradby did a good interviewing job, often with a visibly raised eyebrow gently trying to show Harry where he had contradicted himself.

That makes it even worse , it's bad enough having to sit through ad breaks even when I like something. Let alone this rubbish.

Does anyone know what's so special about Spain?

Why did it get special treatment?

If it were a court case to see which one of harry and meghan, or the royal family, were liars..this would be the vital evidence for me, if I were on jury duty.

At Waterstones in London
more press there
than people buying the book.

joeysteele 10-01-2023 08:29 AM

Well I didn't watch the interview, nor will I be buying the book or reading it.
Really who needs to?
It's all over the serious supposed news programming and other TV magazine type shows.

I'm afraid for me it's a downpour and flooding of something I'd just like to see now cleared away.
Way, way too much.

He has overstepped the decency mark for me now and this is about him now.
His real inner pain or annoyance, his real unresolved issues, the things that are eating into him and controlling his thinking.
In the main seem to be from decades ago.
Long before he married.
It seems like the issues around his wife have brought all his past smouldering inside grievances re the family and the Royal set up, right to the fore and he is now fighting a new battle now to get more closure for past issues.

I like them all from what I've seen of them, I DON'T and never will really KNOW any of the Royals.
However I cannot support this now more like personally created soap opera Prince Harry seems determined to pursue.
I think possibly too, with the backing of Meghan rather than because of her.

I don't see William and Kate as angels and neither do I see the Sussexes as devils however.

Quite what the answer may be I haven't a clue how.
Maybe humour like the Sig Cherie had of the Villa top.
Sometimes in personal conflicts a daft little humerous line can melt some ice.

Prince Harry IF he's serious about reconciliation really has to stop this himself now and stop anything else from Meghan and any other close to him at present.

It may now never be that reconciliation properly can happen.

As someone who doesn't dislike either Harry or Meghan, I have reached the point where I am tired of the flooding of petty tripe mixed with some basis of likely truths too.
Which just dismay and cloud more.

For any family, I'd like to see grievances sorted and reconciling take place.
However Prince Harry and really down to him more recently only.
He's the one who is pushing chances of reconciling further away in my view.

This book, with his Taliban stories, the inferences to Camilla ( who also is not a saint in my view either), his first physical love interest.
All HE is doing is ensuring more will be investigated by journalists and media to whip up more.
Looking for that first older lady he slept with.
Who is leaking anything from the Palace and just WHAT it is which was leaked, if anything ?

Then his Afghanistan issue.
Really in any scenario where was their any sense in revealing what he was thinking.
With that extreme terrorising regime back in place in Afghanistan.
That is where I turned from in any way supporting them now.

There's just one thing I'd like to hear from both of them or just one of them.
That is who made the inappropriate comment in any way intended, as to the colour of their child.

While I believe the comment was said, I am now of the view it's been the thing sent out as the pacesetter for him to then set out to settle old scores he's had bottled up from decades ago.
To try to ' get even' possibly with any who have crossed him advertently or inadvertently from his family or within the Royal set up.

Whatever, for me he's made one almighty mess of really being in any way credible now.
That's my, (I hope), final comments on this unnecessarily self created feud by this couple.

With a 17 year age gap between them, the going to school together is hardly likely.
