:o

It's so sad to think about the amount of extra footage that could of made the films :( that could never be seen

CharlieO 14-08-2011 06:50 PM

November the 11th for Part Two? That seems so quick. :o

Firewire 14-08-2011 06:51 PM

No wonder OOTP was the second shortest.

Yeah it does seem pretty quick, Warner Brothers are hosting "A Celebration of the Harry Potter Films" event in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando starting on the 11th so it makes sense for them to release it then. Plus they're able to cash in on people buying it as Christmas presents too.

and yeah I agree Smithy, one I would have loved to have seen especially is all the different rooms in the Department of Mysteries because it's so descriptive in the book, I love reading them chapters and to think they filmed it all too. :( There are loads of clips and pictures I've seen though of never before seen scenes, one involving Harry, Ron and Hermione by a waterfall in Hogwarts grounds looked interesting and they cut out a whole scene of Dumbledore explaining Priori Incantatem in GoF to Harry too. It's sad.

Smithy 14-08-2011 07:02 PM

K, i just watched the first two videos, Im sure half of that was in the film :conf2: and it's kinda odd that a lot of the stuff was used in the trailer, but then not in the film :joker:

Smithy 14-08-2011 07:03 PM

I imagine they'll end up releasing most of it eventually, just to cash in on it all

Marsh. 14-08-2011 07:08 PM

I'd definitely buy the extended versions especially of Deathly Hallows.
I've got the Lord of the Rings ones and they go on forever. lol

yeah the first two links are kinda pointless, not much from DH was cut as far as I'm aware but most of what's in those videos is in the film, not sure why the person who made that is saying otherwise. I know the bit where Voldemort pulls Harry and says "why do you live?" and Harry replies with "because I have something worth living for" was cut because David Yates watched it in the final cut and didn't think it worked because Voldemort would have killed Harry there and then had they been in that position.

Beastie 15-08-2011 12:06 AM

I wonder when the boxset of all the films will be out!

Hopefully by Christmas! :)

That's what I thought, when they were like that in the trailer and Voldemort didn't kill him. Best that it was cut if it wasn't going to make sense.

New concept art for the Exterior of the Harry Potter Studio Tour at Leavesden Studios opening in 2012:

New trailer for it too: http://video.uk.msn.com/watch/video/...default-player

Looks amazing, I can't wait to visit.

Can easily see them releasing the whole boxset before christmas too. Pop it in the big supermarkets for £30-£40 and they'll be laughing.. it'll sell massively because there isn't one person I know that hasn't actually seen/read something to do with Harry Potter so it'll be an easy gift for people.

Marsh. 15-08-2011 04:57 PM

Didn't a lot of the sets get destroyed for Part 2 though? Or are they rebuilding some of them?

I remember hearing some of the cast members saying it was a bit upsetting to see the Great Hall being smashed down.

Patrick 15-08-2011 05:00 PM

When do you reckon they'll release HP1 - HP7:P2 in Boxset?

Same day as Part 2 comes out on DVD probably, November 11th.

Glenn. 15-08-2011 10:03 PM

Part 1 and 2 are being released as a 4 disc boxset the same day Part 2 comes out

Ey. On that Amazon France website it said something like they are charging 200 quid for the whole boxset!! Screw that. I am waiting until it's like £30.

It was in Euros, not pounds. Plus it's only that much because it comes with The Elder Wanted mounted on top, the actual boxset is going to be much cheaper.

 Source? A 4 disc boxset for Part 2 is being released on November 11th, containing the DVD, Blu-ray disc, Blu-ray 3D disc and special features with a digital copy. A boxset for the two films combined has not been confirmed and it doesn't seem likely that they'll be able to fit a 4 hour+ movie on one disc.

InOne 17-08-2011 06:45 PM

JK Rowling is on Who Do You Think You Are? Tonight :amazed:

Callum 17-08-2011 07:04 PM

Just going to post that :) 9PM BBC One HD

InOne 17-08-2011 07:56 PM

Hopefully should be interesting, she rarely appears on TV so will be nice to get a bit of an insight into her life

Callum 17-08-2011 07:57 PM

Yeah, very rarely, I don't watch this programme but watching tonight for this. Hope it's good :D
