:worship: This series had so much potential  It seemed like they were taking the show in an entirely new direction and going back to basics, but they just drove it into the ground way more than even BB12 or BB13. I'd disagree about the housemates being boring. I think we had a fantastic lineup and if they had just been left to their own devices we could have had a great show.

and how are housemates amazing? Sam, Sophie???

How does a link to a small thread with 7 replies prove im being delusional? LOL

And yes the housemates have been amazing you cant judge the whole casting based on 2 bores....Obviously every year has a few boring ones.

To be honest though Sam and Sophie (Sophie especially) have shown they have fiery sides the last week. You have basically judged them on not making the edit.

The characters in the house have all been very different to each other this year as apposed to previous Channel 5 series where most were pretty much under 25 and good looking.

Before attacking me try getting better examples to back up your opinions not just post a link to a tiny little thread that does in no way represent the opinion of the majority of this forum.

Any way this is the ratings thread so lets not clutter it up with off topic crap spouting.

The consistent increase in ratings says it all.

This is a ratings thread. Not a thread to criticise Big Brother like you have on almost every single thread on TIBB

Like I said.

This is the ratings thread so I aint going to troll it and go off topic anymore.

Big Brother 14 ratings have shown a big increase and for the first time since 2010 the highlight shows and evictions have hit 2 million + so people are obviously enjoying this series.

Conversation over.

Because it was the last series

Amazing Rating

aman201 08-08-2013 01:05 AM

Ratings don't equate to quality, BB10 had the worst average rating of any of the C4 BB's, and people seem to love that series and certainly don't think it was the worst.

Just 1.43 million inc+1 last night, big +1 of 196k 9pm once again kills it

When you say "kills it" do you mean it did well?

ahopkins 08-08-2013 09:19 AM

1.626 Million Overnight Rating. Very nice! Do you add to the ratings if you watch the repeat on the next day on C5/C5+1/5*/5*+1 or record it?

Calm down :nono: you seem to think that your opinion is the only right one and all others are wrong. Just because you hate this series doesn't mean Daniel must hate it too.

No it only got

1.28 (6.1%)

+1 (201K)

1.48. Including + 1

Didn't expect a drop like that, down 80k on last weeks but a big +1 rating.

People seem to forget its on at 9pm on a Wednesday because Channel 5 move it to accommodate Love/Hate which is a massive flop! Its a shame because last night was a brilliant episode.

Samm 08-08-2013 09:42 AM

Said this before BB should not be on at 9 pm :nono:

RichardG 08-08-2013 09:44 AM

It's a disappointing rating, I just hope that it's because it was on at 9pm. I don't want the viewers to drop now with such few days to go before the final, it'd be rubbish to see the average drop now.

ahopkins 08-08-2013 10:11 AM

Disappointing. It's because Love/Hate can only be on at 10PM or after or it breaks the law so they have to switch slots

Makes an interesting read

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s149/...channel-5.html

Seems Channel 5 are happy, meaning it will no doubt be re-comissioned

"It has also pulled an impressive total audience reach of 22 million (6 million 16-34s and 3 million housewives) across the current run." Amazing!!!

That's crazy. I thought most people hate Big Brother and would never watch it! There must be a lot of casual viewers out there

What does audience reach mean?

The % or 000s of a target audience who have viewed for a defined period.

e.g. A 1+ reach is the total of the target audience who have viewed for at least a minute – shown as either a % or in 000s

daniel-lewis-1985 09-08-2013 09:36 AM

Big Brother - 1.60m (9.9%)

Excluding +1.

Great share and figure.

Hopefully we will get +1 later.

BB slayed the competition at 10 pm

Channel 4: "Legally High" 547k (3.4%)

BBC2: "Work Experience" 1.05m (5.9%)

I think Legally High was way too serious to be on at that time! People would rather watch people wearing bumble bee costumes covered in honey than a man stiffing a legal high on top of a DVD player surrounded by McDonalds wrappers in squalor.

Another great rating and share, amazing!
