I didn't say that the police were right or wrong in the second case and I was also clear on the first case; inappropriate for work (employer issue), not illegal (not a police issue). You were clear that it WAS a police issue, due to public safety.

Is your contention that you were saying that you thought the tube driver was creating a public safety issue because ... he was distracted and should have been concentrating on pressing the "go" button on the train? If so I apologise (but entirely disagree with the idea that that presents any sort of safety issue, lol) HOWEVER I assumed you considered it to be an issue of public safety because it might create an unsafe environment/civil unrest amongst those listening.

Which you seemed unconcerned about with the bulletin board; while the police were concerned.

Perhaps I have it wrong and you really were commenting on ... err ... the tube train driver's ability to speak whilst driving a train, which might cause ... I don't know. Him to forget where the brakes are or something?

You must really freak out when the pilot starts talking on flights :joker:.

"Hello this is your captain speaking, we're just coming into some turbul-- OH **** IF I'M DOING THIS WHO IS STEERING THE PLANE????"

I said it earlier on the thread, although you have had a shocker today given you didnt know the Mayor is responsible for TFL, thought you knew everything...:fan: my point was and still is that the driver was at his day job, and part of that job is being responsible for the safety and comfort of everyone on the train, starting a political chant is not the best way to ensure passengers have a comfortable journey, everyone pays their fare and everyone should be treated to a comfortable journey without having to endure chanting, particularly at such a sensitive time, if drivers were chanting football songs down the tannoy every weekend I am sure there would be people withi plenty issues with it...this is no different.

Incidentally I really dont see the comparison between the tube driver and a van at an awareness march with photos of the kidnapped, perhaps you can explain

If you'd care to check back, I surmised that the Mayor of London WOULD be responsible for TFL, without googling to check, so admitted that it was a guess rather than knowledge. :hee: I've quoted below for your confirmation? I'm not Slim :nono: stop spreading misinformation.

:hee: :hee: You're welcome.

It's a poor excuse for a clear enough propaganda-preference, but I'll let you have it since it's feasible. Reasonable doubt etc.

Why would you bring me into this?

Neither of us like Slim, so let me gloss over what you specifically said about me and we can join forces.

In this case I think Cherie genuinely conflated the posts and thought I had made the initial comment about it being an employment issue and thus not being an issue for the police or Mayor.

FWIW I do think going straight to the Mayor of London would be like someone going to the CEO of Tesco because a staff member of one store said something they didn't like, which is probably what you also meant.

Cherie said she thought you were supposed to know everything (not in a positive way), to which you replied "I'm not slim"

Either answer her questioning you directly, or don't, and I don't give AF either way, but don't snide me into it.

you didn't know the Mayor is responsible for TFL
And pointed out that in my post, I had guessed that the Mayor is responsible for TFL, and it was your post that (could have been seen to) be suggesting that the Mayor was not responsible for TFL.

I have literally no reason to be backtracking, if I was calling you a know-it-all I would just say so :umm2:.

The real irony is that I was actually denying Cherie's bogus claim/slander about myself not knowing everything.

quite a few of those kidnapped are British so I don't see any propaganda in trying to raise awareness and get the government to intervene to get them released if possible, I can't imagine how the famiilies are feeling it feels like they will be collateral damage for Israel, hard to see how they are facilitating getting them out alive
