I loved that programme, was very interesting and it makes me wish I had watched more of the programme in general, I like finding out about people's history. Random but I kept thinking of Merope, Voldemort's mother, whenever the name Salome was said, they sound quite similar, makes you wonder whether that's where she got her like for unusual names.

Who Do You Think You Are special on JK Rowling. It's all about her trying to find her French ancestry.

Awww, she got really emotional all about it as well. You could tell she cared deeply about it. Was a shame about that great grandad she liked being in a mass grave. And yeah all the way through I was trying to see if I could spot any influences in the books lol

That was so sad. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a communial grave until tonight, it's tragic that nobody from the family came forward though. :(

Harry Potter: Page to Screen, the follow-up to Harry Potter Film Wizardry, will be available for purchase beginning October 25 and will retail for $75.00.

According to Harper Collins:
"[The book] is packed with spellbinding details and hundreds of never-before-seen photographs and illustrations that provide an insightful, in-depth look at the inner workings of the world of 'Harry Potter.' The book unravels some of the films' most peculiar mysteries, such as how Harry's Invisibility Cloak became visible, which mythical creature required the most make-up, and why the Sorting Hat failed miserably as a puppet, while also addressing some of the broader issues surrounding the set, including the impact of Richard Harris' death on the cast and crew, and the young stars' thoughts on growing up on a public stage."

"Complete with extensive profiles of the cast and crew, this lavishly illustrated volume is the official behind-the-scenes look at the art and making of the most popular film series in cinema history as told by the Muggles who made the magic real."
Can't wait to get my copy, the first one was great.

The first one was fun so I hope this is more of the same, I've always hated Harry's lego haircut though lol, they should of changed it a bit for this one.

The BBFC (highly reliable source) has updated their site with a list of deleted scenes:

DVD and Blu-ray for US has been confirmed as November 11th. Likely we will get it on the same day or the Monday following (hope not :()

UK Blu-ray:

The bad news is that the UK won't get the DVD/Blu-ray until December 2nd. Over 2 weeks after America gets it, I find this so unfair. Harry Potter have always been primarily British films, the cast are British, the films are made in Britain. If anything we should be getting it sooner, not later than America. :bored:

Adamw92 20-09-2011 08:38 AM

I really don't like the UK cover, the US one is so much better! America are only getting the 3D version on November 11th though, the regular 2D one is released December 9th in the US.

Me neither, they always get better ones than us.

Oh everywhere I've read seems adamant that the US will get both the standard and 3D versions on November 11th, another source reporting it:

Way to screw the UK fans over

Adamw92 20-09-2011 03:05 PM

I'm gonna import from the US then, but I'm terrible because I'm also getting the UK 1-8 boxset :D

Smithy 20-09-2011 03:37 PM

Im not that bothered about the 2 week difference, Ill probably just get it for xmas instead of buying it myself
