You need to understand what that phrase means when used towards Liverpool its a phrase that has been used to mock the deaths that were covered up of the fans of Hillsborough

I understand, and as a fellow football fan, i stand with Liverpool on that. Tragic. I wouldn't ever use The Sun Newspaper as a base for my cat litter tray for her to sh!t on, sh!t is too good for that scummy rag.

I just think he was saying, what a lot of us say over the years, 90% of Liverpool fans, like you, just can't stand losing and think the whole footballing world is against you, they're not. You are "darlings" of Europe in the country!

Crimson Dynamo 30-09-2023 07:20 PM

wow VAR just apologised for Diaz offside

IT WAS A FOOT ONSIDE

meltdown incoming

Crimson Dynamo 30-09-2023 07:21 PM

i despise Liverpool but that is unacceptable

Swan 30-09-2023 07:22 PM

Ok im out. Reminds me of the phantom CL Liverpool scored against Chelsea to put them through, when it clearly wasn't over the line

Denver 30-09-2023 07:28 PM

They admit they cheated which should allow a nice lawsuit to follow

Swan 30-09-2023 07:30 PM

They admitted the made a mistake, not that they "cheated" no grounds for a lawsuit there.

bots 30-09-2023 07:30 PM

Newsflash, the best team on the day doesn't always win, thats football. It's also football that decisions will be questioned, but the refs decision is always final. That's the game

How can you make such a mistake at that level? They refused to follow protocol and even admitted lines were not drawn when should have been

They do often, i agree it's a joke. But they're never gonna admit "cheating" because it wasn't cheating, it was just useless officials being useless.

How can every other country ( even ones without our wealth ) have a very effective VAR system !?

It’s utter madness and unacceptable that our VAR system and our refs / officials are completely inept and not fit for purpose

Because they are corrupt, I've seen better performance in the Sunday league

Swan 30-09-2023 07:41 PM

We can all agree the officials in charge of running VAR are a joke.

They're not corrupt, they're just useless. They're too thick to be corrupt. And Corruption in the PL, in 2023, no chance. Too much to lose.

90's yes, the refs wore their Utd shirts under their ref jerseys

Crimson Dynamo 30-09-2023 07:46 PM

cough... Suadi money

Meaning?

At least Everton are gonna have the greatest ground in the Championship.

There's always a positive.

GiRTh 30-09-2023 08:45 PM

As much as I dislike both of these teams, VAR is becoming an awful joke

Pundits tell us that they get 90% right but that doesnt matter when they make such high profile mistakes. Is this twice they've failed to draw the offside line correctly? Unacceptable

They're both tbh. All the refs these days pretend to not support big teams, but they do. No one from greater manc is supporting Altrincham.

If you want to talk about injustice just watch the invisible penalty that Cardiff got against us a few years ago.

The "incident" allegedly happens around the 3:42 mark of the video.

Admittedly that Chelsea vs Barcelona match was bad, as was the 12 men France edging past England at the Qatar World Cup.

Although I do think VAR did themselves a lot of harm in that Tottenham & Liverpool match with the mistake for the offside goal being disallowed.

What I don't get is that if someone like me can tell that Diaz was onside and I'm just a regular joe public with zero Referee experience, then how can professional Referees not spot it when they're staring at a monitor?

I personally prefer Spurs as a team (I've always had a soft spot for them) but being fair I think that professional Officials should be able to spot stuff that I'm spotting, otherwise they're really bad at their jobs.

you try making a decision in front of 50k baying fans and then come back on that one

Honestly, i think they should just do away with var now. It should go back to decisions made in real time and if a mistake is made so be it. Goal line tech can remain because it seems reliable

I get that, but ultimately the Referees have to be more brave in their decision making.

Like I personally supported his decision to send off Jones & Jota because they did break the rules of the game, and he wasn't afraid to have Liverpool fans going mad at him for doing that.

My point being that if he is ballsy enough to send a team down to nine men, he can be ballsy enough to give the away team a goal that was onside.

Zizu 01-10-2023 10:59 AM

The poor refs , incompetent VAR .. the checks after each goal ( trying to find a reason to disallow it )

All ruining our beautiful game
