TiBB General Election 2013 [1 day to go]

Part 3:

The time has come. The five candidates have now been selected and have chosen their team in assisting them to take the win.

All teams have been given private social groups to use as their campaign boardroom to use how they wish (no bitching, I can see them).

From here you have until Thursday evening to construct a winning campaign to portray to the forum to convince them to elect you as "TiBB's PM".

You can use whatever means you see fit (within reason of course) and you may post just ONE thread per party that will be your advertising for your campaign.

This is the creative part, so be as creative as you like. Please try and keep all your ideas in the private social group thread just so the other teams cannot steal your ideas. ;)

You may post the campaign thread as soon as you wish and keep updating it.

From Thursday evening the polling booth will open for the forum to privately vote in the ballot as to who they wish to elect, with the results being announced Friday night.

Marcus, Lee, Arista, Jack and Apple, Good Luck, let the campaigning begin!

Benjamin 10-03-2013 10:12 PM

Also, when Jack and apple have found other team members, let me know and I'll add them to the social group.

One is to arista, I would have loved to do this but for the next week or so, I am unlikely to be on here except for very short periods due to loads of Uni work.
I am really glad you got through arista,it would have been good to have had you through last year too I think.

Kazanne thank you for your kind words as ever.

Jesus H, sorry to add to the statement you made as to Jack and me but I agree again with his post as to voting on merit or policies and what the candidates stand for and not for personal reasons,(for or against).

Jack, I do think you will be the one I will be supporting, I cannot offer much time but when I am on, I will do my very best to support your campaign.
If you are struggling to come up with names then I will do whatever I can to help you in this election.
It may not be much and I cannot guarantee when I will be on the forum but I will try to give you all the support I can.

Many others can now heave a sigh of relief as they have just had a lucky escape from me not recalling who I wanted to say something to or quote, so you can rest easy again without your pillows.

That's absolutely fine Joey and thank you once again. I'll ask for you to be added to the social group and you can help out as and when you can. Nice to have you on board! :D

Jack_ 10-03-2013 10:22 PM

Reece is part of my team. And joeysteele has agreed to help me out as and when he can, so could he also be added as well please?

Jesus. 10-03-2013 10:23 PM

Apple needs himself adding 3 times.

Benjamin 10-03-2013 10:52 PM

Is it just you and Jordan? If you get anyone else, let me know.

Benjamin 11-03-2013 07:22 PM

Please keep to one thread per party, and no advertising your own campaign in somebody elses campaign thread.

How do we challenge anything on others threads though.

Obviously I from the I S P party will be looking into others threads to see what they are saying, just as I would expect other parties members/supporters to look in the I S P thread.

Most if not all will have their likely or already decided allegiance included somewherein their posts.
If we cannot go onto other parties threads and challenge what is offered or said, unless we do it with no inclusion of advertising our own party too then how do we debate?

How do we win support say for any policy overlap if there are any if we can only do so in the parties own threads and not others.

Just a point, were say an arista supporter to come on the I S P thread and ask a legitimate question, that supporter may have a 'vote for arista' slogan included in their post, as they will have on all posts they make around the forum generally anyway.
That in itself would be advertising and therefore bringing that campaign to another thread for that party.
How can we though not do that and be fighting an election?

You can challenege the opposing parties policies etc without just placing an advert/icon for your own party. That isn't directed at you, just a response to the question. If the slogan is in your sig, that's fine, it's more just posting the slogans etc in the oppositions thread.

joeysteele 11-03-2013 10:20 PM

Thank you for clarifying that Ben, Greatly appreciated.
