If BB is gonna talk to her about her comment, then he should also talk to Cherry and Terrence. Cherry talked about Nobbi's "slants" before Terri did, when he slanted Princess Sparkles's eyes and said, "Let's make it look like Nobbi's slants," or something like that. And before either Cherry or Terri said anything, Terrence said that he could cover Nobbi's eyes with a shoelace.

Even though these comments are pretty mean, they're not racist. None of them said anything about Nobbi being Asian. They only commented about his eyes.

Terri didn't intentionally mean to be racist, but it is offensive. It was a racist comment, but she didn't really mean it.

I didn't get her defense, though (the whole old/big ass thing)

I'm sorry, but you have to explain to me why you guys think what she said was racist. I'm not trying to pick a fight here (that's FAR from what I want to do, because I do like everyone here :spin2:), but I'm really curious as to why it was racist.

This is exactly what she said:
"I know that Nobbi eyes sometimes.... I think, how can you see through those eyes? Because they're so close together." Then later on Travis said, "Oh, you mean because they're close to his nose." Then Terri said, "No, no, his slits are so small that you can't see his..." (then she was interupted).

Yes, Terri was talking about Nobbi's small eyes. She even used to word "slits" (later on she said she didn't use that word, which I was kind of disappointed in because she did use it). And yes, small eyes are common among Asians. But just because someone talks about a racial feature doesn't mean that they're racist.

It would be like if I said, "African Americans have rough hair and I wonder how they keep it nicely shampooed and conditioned." It's true, most black people have rough hair. But is it a racist comment? No, I don't think it is at all. That comment would have been said out of curiosity.

And that's why Terri said her "slits" comment: out of curiosity. Anyway, if she were racist, she would hate Nobbi and think she's superior to him, only because of his race. And I don't think Terri feels this way.

I think the nominations were quite obvious if it is true.

Nobbi (59.1%) has the second highest eviction percentage for 6 nominees just behind BB5 UK Michelle (66.96%)

Brigitte has taken herself off the block (obviously), and so now the offcial nominees are....

Oh man, this is going to be a tight race. I think all of them have their fair share of haters, so I think it's going to be pretty unpredictable. Out of the three of them, I would say Rory will probably be safe, but I don't know, I thought Rhianna was safe two weeks ago.

I was so glad to read that Brigitte was up for nomination! I thought I would never say that. :laugh: But it's true, I was happy since I knew that she was definitely safe from eviction. So thrilled that she won FNL!

Ben and Travis need to be up for eviction, especially Ben since he has NEVER been in danger, even when Australia decided the nominees. Travis at least has known what it's like to be in danger (he was in the bottom 3 in week 3), though he was saved by Rebecca.

And yay, I was so happy that Nobbi was evicted! Though I was shocked that he received so many of the votes! Gosh, 59.1% (and it was 66% earlier on)! And I was also hoping that it would be a double eviction since it was down to Nobbi and him.
