Oh how I love this show. I love that there is always a nicely diverse set of contestants. And I like that the show is interspersed with little segments of food history.

I like the little conversations between Paul and Mary about the contest (loads of double entendres :p) and I like the presenters, Mel and Sue...I also like watching the baking. It gets really tense at times.

But mainly, I like the screwups *grins*

In last nights round, there wasn't a lot of doubt who was going to go...he'd messed up his sandwich cake, and his showstopper was not very good, but his biggest mistake was when he used salt instead of sugar in the angel food cake...

Daft ha'porth.

How anyone can watch this load of toss is totally beyond me - get a life - Mary Berry was half dead when i was a kid and i'm nearly half dead now - well over half actually. Watching this show is torture - hence i've never seen one episode.

Sorry hijaxers, that was rude of me.

Why do you think it's a load of toss if you haven't seen an episode though?

You must have learned by now that we all like different things or has that life lesson escaped you? :hee:

Val winning the technical challenge and doing well in the first round and still being a danger, ****ing point of having them then?

Michael was adorable and Tom is basic as ****. So a disappointing week for me.

It wasn't rude Braden, nobody should have to explain what they do in life unless it's illegal!

Fair point

Nicky91 08-09-2016 08:11 AM

i am so relieved for Candace, i think Paul and Mary made the right decision, i think Candace can do better with other bakes, and Michael wasn't really going forward, but i liked him

I really must admit, Val is getting away with it again, third week in a row in the bottom 3 :)

Val is being kept in because she is a "character", so far her attempts have been poor

Call me crazy but something tells me people can watch an hour of GBBO for a few weeks a year and still have a life. Just a hunch I have.

I haven't watched it myself yet but I'm interested in starting sometime. :)

That statement doesn't make an iota of sense but okay.

I have to agree, I do like her though, so if she is in for a few episodes I don't mind. She and Rav are probably the two weakest bakers left in there and Val's time in the tent as lovely as she may be, is hanging by a thread now methinks as too many far better than Val, and it will look too suss to keep her in there much longer.

Shaun 14-09-2016 07:04 PM

Let's continue this hellish week with Val's inevitable elimination then

LukeB 14-09-2016 07:05 PM

I'm really savouring this series now that I know it'll be the least real bake off

Shaun 14-09-2016 07:16 PM

Selasi always seems to be on the floor and honestly I'm wishing I was there with him

LukeB 14-09-2016 07:17 PM

lewis111 14-09-2016 07:18 PM
