Just calm down a bit and enjoy the game rather than being so hell bent on winning.

You scrumptious little Britney Stan. ;) have you seen what day it is today?

I didn't expect my antics to be the cause of so much drama LOL. Well it made the game interesting.

Tom I enjoyed the game, I would say you need to better organised though, not telling us what was going on, telling us something was happening that evening and then changing it on the evening to the next day, leaving players hanging around was frustrating as we never really knew what was going on and then you got annoyed at us for asking.

I think the second one needs to be properly planned out and may suit when you are not as busy (around august/summer holidays) because then you have the time to dedicate to the game 100%.

I have to be honest, I haven't understood 95% of this game.

Firstly, why are the teams against each other when there's no competitive element because someone from both teams gets eliminated anyway? There's just no reward for being a good team player, especially when people on the other team can vote you out tactically. The tasks don't really seem to affect anything at this stage.
Secondly, the nominations need tweaking. It's impossible nominating 2 out of 4 people. It just can't be done interestingly, you just end up picking at random, and it turns nominations into pot luck. That's just boring.
Most importantly though, your attitude at times throughout the game has been ridiculous and just left me bewildered. You kept snapping 3 or 4 times through every task (and I understand some of them, because this forum REALLY needs to get over this whole "let's cause drama!!!" phase. Hayden.) and you just didn't seem to have any patience... expecting us all to have replied to a vote 10 minutes after you posted it, for example. People need to be given time on here, not everyone's as wired and alert as Pete :p

I did enjoy the tasks though - although I'd have liked you to have asked me to use the Eurovision task :idc: it's just common courtesy - and I do think a teams-pitted-against-each-other game format CAN work... but right now it's just a confused mash of the Apprentice and Elimination. I can't see what the jury have been doing throughout the game, but I think they could play a more active role in the game - deciding which team players are the weakest/strongest and therefore deserving of rewards (perhaps immunity, or the chance to eliminate someone) or punishments (strikes, or task handicaps of some sort). Maybe in some tasks players can be versus specific rival team members. Just to throw in a bit of diversity and competition.

..the thing I would agree with Shaun on is just that things maybe should have been/should be decided more by the jury because they can see the tearooms/how much work people have done whereas forum members don't see that so it's hard to vote and maybe a forum vote isn't the greatest idea...?..

I agree with Shaun's take on things, and I feel it was bad timing for Tom as he's had unexpected family issues and stresses crop up :(, but I hope he's not put off and does it again, it's a good concept.

In reference to the last bit of Shaun's post which I've bolded, who remembers a tv show called Friends Like These hosted by Ant and Dec. Each show had two teams of 5 members (males versus females in this case) and one person from each team had to face off against each other in set challenges. A player could only take part in one challenge and strategy and wise choices were important.

Maybe this could be adapted into Tom's Versus format? Just a suggestion.

Shaun 17-04-2014 04:12 PM

Yeah, and then each player who wins earns a point for their team and it's always either 3-2, 4-1 or 5-0. No possibility of a draw  Well until people are eliminated anyway.

:worship:

It did feel like a mish mash of ideas and then certain things (like the jury) being dropped and not used at all by the looks of things.

The tasks were good, but the thought into what they mean for the game and how they affect anything wasn't really thought about.

But it was Tom's first game and I suppose he's had a chance to trial out his ideas and can make a smoother running game next time to iron out the problems.

Sorry Tom if you felt I put you under any stress or anything (95% of the time I was just joking). :p

Sorry to whoever I caused stress to in this game but tbh I don't see what I've done wrong. I think this game was destined to be dramatic when the format seemed flawed and people could break the rules or be inactive and still remain in the game. I don't know how I got so involved seeing as I'm on holiday right now and didn't even apply for this but Pete kept messaging me about conspiracy theories and y'all know I can't keep away from drama.

Sorry Shaun, Tom, Kate etc for whatever the hell it is I've done, but I hope we can still be friends on here even though I felt like you'd all written me off before giving me a chance in the first place.

EXIT SPEECH
Coming into this game I had the mindset that whoever plays the best game deserves to win. I had no intention of letting personal decisions sway my views and hoped that other people would feel the same too. How wrong was I....:joker:

I'd like to start by saying that my strategy was to ally with Jack_ and make it to the end with him without being detected. That was an impossible mission and it was always going to end up as a I disaster. He told me everything I needed to know about the Icona Pop members and what they were saying. He also informed me that Kate nominated myself and Pete at Top 13 (or was it 14) but because Cuda got evicted and I got a golden key, she replaced me with Jemal(?). So that's the reason why I nominated Kate and Drew during my first HOH, mainly because Kate was a comp threat and Jack was pushing for Drew to be nominated because he didn't know where he stood with alliances and suspected that Drew/Jake would take him to the end and then backstab him. So Jack evicted Drew that round, but he still stayed, cos my target was Kate and I wanted her gone, even though I liked her as a person - it's a game. Then when Sam discovered the Icona Pop alliance of Shaun, Kate, Drew, Jake, Jack and Nat, I took it upon myself to make an alliance with Sam, JC, Pete and Loukas as we were not included in the 'Icona' social group. Then when I surprisingly won HOH at F10, I put up 2 of their members, and then a 3rd when Drew won POV. Jack was once again pushing for Drew to be the target, but my original plan was always to backdoor Shaun as he was the best comp player. So when Drew won POV, Jack had to settle for Shaun being out instead.
Jack told me to make an alliance with him and Jake, and I agreed. But I knew deep down it would not work out, since I knew Jake was gunning for me. But I went along with it for the time being. Then when Drew won HOH and put me up, all the Icona, members thought they had me gone for good. But Jack saved me with POV and I thank him for that so much, as he risked a lot doing it. I think it was a stupid move on his behalf to re-allign with Drew/Jake who were still pissed at him for saving me with POV. Then Drew offered an alliance to me, which I accepted, but we all know how that turned out... and now I'm out of the game

Parting words for each individual:
Drew - What can I say, you were my biggest rival in this game and you've BY FAR played better than anyone else in this game. If you don't win it'll be a travesty, but that doesn't necessarily mean I want you to win  I can't wait to play another game with/against you, as you're a top dude.
Jake - Similar to Drew, you've played a good game. I didn't appreciate you not telling me before-hand that you were putting me up as I was actually starting to consider you as a good friend in this game, but eh-well, it's part of the game I guess. Obviously your intentions were to stick with Drew and carry each other til the end, so bravo to you as well. I look forward to participating in TIBB Coach Trip 2 as well ;)
Pete - I'm so glad I decided to play this game because I've made a great friend on here and that's you :) You've been loyal to me since Day 1 and I wish you more luck than anyone else in this competition, you definitely deserve to still be here and it's a shame we got put up against each other.
Loukas - Hmm„ you're, a tricky one because I could never tell whether you were being genuine with me or not. But I have made a great friend in you on here and I hope we can continue to be friends outside of this game :) And thanks for not voting me out.
JC - You don't deserve to win and you've just rode coattails to get here, but good luck in this game anyway. It's just a game - remember that. Cos you won't last much longer if you continue the way you're playing *hint hint*. No hard feelings?
Nat - I don't know you AT ALL cos you never spoke but good luck for this game, I think you have a good chance of winning if you interact a bit more, just be careful your Icona members don't turn on you.
Jack - Dude, I know I was a little harsh on you earlier, but obviously you must understand why I was so frustrated as you were the last person I would've EVER voted out, no matter what the circumstances were. I'm mad you voted me out to 'please other people' but at the end of the day it's a game and I wish you the best of luck in it. You're one of my closest friends on here and to fall out with you over an off-season game would be stupid. I wish you tons of luck in this game and I can't wait for BBCAN to start so I can discuss it with you Daily :D

To all the players left in this game, good luck and may the best gameplayer win! Hopefully I'll see some of you again for Season 10,:grin2:
