I'm hoping they do some advertising for the Big Brother Armageddon only on there own channel of course or maybe different ways but idc, I would be Happy with anything 1.6+ for the first day of the Armageddon

thediaryroomchair 03-07-2014 03:33 PM

Is this Armageddon rumour true? It sounds like a really good concept if it is done well.

Yep, it's on the guide now. Between Monday 14th-Thursday 17th it's labelled as that.

Yaki da 03-07-2014 03:59 PM

What is the concept?

Josy 03-07-2014 04:01 PM

They will make an announcement in the next few days about it

daniel-lewis-1985 03-07-2014 06:01 PM

They should have launched at this date that This Armageddon thing is starting instead of going head to head with one of the biggest sporting events on the planet.

It now feels like its no longer power trip but its like another launch and they are trying to wipe wipe the last 3 weeks away and give it one last desperate push.

Im glad that they are and they care about the ratings because it shows they care about the show but at the same time it looks very desperate and its off putting unless they planned this from day 1 but who believes that?

This wont increase ratings, its to late.

Big Brother: Armageddon lol its so cheesy

Also can someone tell me if im using commas correctly? I have recently been reprimanded for using paragraphs in the wrong way on an exam, apparently im a ****.

Will. 03-07-2014 06:11 PM

Your not really using commas correctly, you need a few pauses in there. But Its a forum so along as it makes sense then its fine, which it did. I agree it feels weird, like Power Trip is ending and a new BB is launching.

Samm 03-07-2014 06:27 PM

I have high hope for tonight it's on at 9pm and no Football

It should do quite well, there is Celeb Masterchef but that's about it really.

CBB13 deserved at least a million more viewers for an average of 4 million, it definetly shows people still love CBB

JohnnyBB 03-07-2014 07:34 PM

Channel 5 should learn from their neighbours acquisition. On the Beeb it got like 5 million viewers every lunch time for many years. On C5 it gets about 500K.. However that is for both lunch and evening slots, so there's still a healthy million! Nonetheless it could be a great way to interest the youth base from BB and I predict it'd have similar ratings too.. Even though Waterloo Road really is getting poor.. Since moving to Scotland, rather than London I stopped watching.. It also seems odd that 9 days before Viacom take over, they'd think about purchasing such an expensive show!

Yeah, I made a thread about it.

Jake. 03-07-2014 07:41 PM

Is it on at 9?

daniel-lewis-1985 04-07-2014 12:01 PM

OH MY GOD!

Big Brother 924k (4.6%)

The only thing I can think of is people thought it was on at 10pm so waiting for the +1 rating to come out later.

Cant believe that ratings for such a brilliant episode.

RichardG 04-07-2014 12:06 PM

That's awful D:

JohnnyBB 04-07-2014 12:08 PM

This is serious now, under million at 9pm on a thursday, this is very serious for big brother.

Jamesy 04-07-2014 12:08 PM

Apparently 1.1m with +1 (according to people on Digital Spy).

You'd think ratings would be higher given it was on at 9pm. I guess since it has been on at 10pm most days a lot to people switched on at that time... although I suspect +1 figures would have been high if that was the case.

Doesn't surprise me. They've allowed a vicious woman to put a dark cloud over this years Big Brother with housemates that do sparkle when they emerge such as Ashleigh just wanting to go and becoming miserable because they can't bear the thought of 5 or 6 more weeks with Helen.

Furthermore, the editing... Who on earth thinks the average BB viewer wants to hear men talk about fingerblasting women in the first week? These people truly are vulgar and disgusting and have turned a good show for young people into something dark and depressing.

Chances of them fixing the problem? Zilch. No new housemates to boost some life into the old ones. A big twist that you can see being a damp squib a mile off and probably more and more Helen and the men talking in a crude manner. And popular HMs being evicted because they're up against each other.

I dare say they've given up anyway. I'm convinced the quadruple eviction for BB11 was a final up yours from Edgar-Jones to some viewers. This series may be an up yours to viewers who are left.

daniel-lewis-1985 04-07-2014 12:15 PM

The first 20 minutes of last night I couldn't even hear the show.

Major sound issues.

Will. 04-07-2014 12:20 PM

I think a lot if people thought it was at 10, they need to stick to 9 or 10.

irishdave 04-07-2014 12:23 PM

Please stop making excuses about ratings - it is rating dreadfully! And it deserves to. Where did it all go wrong?

4 years ago when they decided not to do a live feed. The website is appalling as well. This is supposed to be a Modern, edgy, interactive show and yet it feels dated and is keep the viewers at a distance.
