I remember DS hated Joe McGuinness, but he won. It just goes to show that a strong fanbase could get you the win.

well most on main forum of strictly at DS found Lauren dull and unemotional at first, but now i'm reading a lot of positivity for her and AJ


her own insta fanbase has grown from 10k (before strictly launch show) to now 45k

and also most on bbc blogs, where i'm also on, many also like Lauren, but also Joe and Faye are popular there

Ashley's dance last night made me cry. Best dancer we have had in years.

God Ashley was incredible. The most blatant 40 of the series.

Faye's jive was also brill and I enjoyed the hell out Graeme's Salsa! :joker:

Oh and Lauren and Charles danced the best they have all series!

Whilst I get Ashleys dad kiled himself etc I just found it a little indulgent and wrought - i mean how could it be properly critiqued. Lauren STILL getting votes extra for her disability which although you have to kind of I think it marks up too much.

Oh and guess what they gave Swanny another joke outfit and song - when will ashley or faye?

viennese waltz isn't that easy (forward turns, reverse turns, fleckrls, pivots) so Lauren did a good job, and got very deserved positive judges comments, Craig was right this was the first time she actually danced (in which he meant it like feeling a dance for the first time)

so yeah i hope she can keep this up, somehow i do think she might, confidence is good for athletes, and she's really getting more and more comfortable on the dancefloor and in the training room
