As far as I know there's no real reason the date of the departures needs to be made public, they shouldn't release that kind of detail incase protestors decide to lie across the tarmac or whatever, unless police are at hand to remove them.
Better to just do it a day early instead.

Well exactly. The crossings of the Channel (and the Med) need to be halted, and should have been long ago.

The Police backed down to the protesters yesterday.

Pathetic.

With things like that and their failure to respond to that school shooting, I begin to wonder.if the ACAB.crowd might have a point...

The Slim Reaper 12-06-2022 02:36 PM

They weren't actually protesters, they were there to stop the cops coming into their neighbourhoods and kidnapping their neighbours, which is perfectly good and normal, and definitely not something that happened in Europe last century.

Let Priti Patel do what voters want...it's called democracy

Sending illegal migrants to Rwanda is probably one of the most popular
policies any modern government has ever put forward.

It would be unwise to suggest that it does not have a strong democratic
mandate, the proper basis of all Government power.

The pressure groups and unions that oppose it speak mainly for themselves. he long failure to control our borders, and the blatant exploitation and
mockery of this country by criminal people-smugglers, have angered voters
for years.

https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2022/06...4995036850.jpg

If anyone in the parliamentary Opposition has a better idea, they should
set their alternative policy before the voters in their next manifesto, and see
how it fares. In the meantime, let the Government do what most voters want
it to do. This method of running the country is called democracy, and has
much to recommend it.

Shall we just do away with the whole visa process then, just let any old person in unchecked?

This is not the first time Rwanda has been asked to take in refugees. The EU backed a
scheme to send hundreds of asylum seekers trying to cross the Mediterranean from Libya
to the African country in 2019.

Yes it is a Good Working System

I hope the Charter flight goes
trouble is it is an evening flight, tomorrow
giving Left Wing Lawyers more time in court, case by case.

High Court Judge,

Court of appeal/

The High Court Judge has ruled
the Flight tomorrow will take off.

East Africa is ready to receive them.

There will be Court case next month
July.

[Court allows Rwanda asylum flight to go ahead]

[The government's first flight taking
asylum seekers to Rwanda can go ahead
on Tuesday, appeal court judges have said.
It follows a previous decision by the High Court
that it was in the "public interest" for the
government to carry out its policies.

Under the scheme, some of those entering
the UK illegally will be flown to Rwanda
to apply for asylum there.

Campaigners were trying to stop people
being sent to the east African country before
a full hearing on whether the policy
is lawful next month.

The court earlier heard 11 people were
expected to be on Tuesday's flight]

sadly yes they are virtue signallers with literally no virtue

Oliver_W 13-06-2022 07:10 PM

It would save trouble all round if the crossings were stopped. Turn the boats back, or even better, actually do something about the people traffickers...
