Good battle going on for those champions league places.
Leicester and West Ham Arne't letting up, I thought they'd have dropped off by now. I still wouldn't write Liverpool off, they've got plenty of talent in their team, they just need a win for confidence. I still fancy us to make it, I think we're a strong organised team with goals in us. Chelsea bother me, where have they crept up from? |

Some of my best memories as an Everton fan were two last day of the Season relegation deciders. We won them both, which is probably why they're good memories. It's better than being mid-table with nothing to play for, like Arsenal. |

I suppose though if we do get relegated at the end of the season then the Arsenal fans will be the happier camp out of the two fanbases with their mid-table finish. And it's weird to think of Everton ever being in a relegation scrap as they're such a huge club, and you guys are having a fantastic season. It really is good to see teams like Everton and West Ham doing so well this season, and even Aston Villa I suppose as it promotes the City of Birmingham in a good light for talented Footballers. But seriously good luck to Everton, I've been waiting a long time to see them win a League someday, along with Spurs. |

In all seriousness this season will never erase how successful Arsenal have been as a club. When we beat you guys in the 2011 League Cup Final has to be one of my best memories as you guys seemed so formidable compared to our team. Before Leicester won the Premier League in the 2015/16 season I did always see our League Cup triumph as the greatest achievement that an underdog team had achieved from what I've seen anyway. |

Your ownership definitely has a lot to answer for imo as he is clearly favouring his American Sports teams over Arsenal, which if he won't invest in the club then he shouldn't be owning the club imo. What are you thinking of Arteta as a Manager out of interest? Don't worry I've just read your post above. |
First half of Wenger was amazing, second half not so great.
I like Arteta but I have big issues wit the way we play. The defence is actually OK. I dont like seeing David Luis in the line up at all. In fact I think Gabriel was outstanding before he got injured. The midfield needs alot of work - Nothing new its been a problem for a while. I still dont like Xhaka as a anchor, he's too slow, too one footed, he must be easy to play against. Partey looks like he cant play two games in row without getting injured but he looks like a bargain. Fans, though, are already speculating he may be the new Abu Diaby. The biggest problem is up front. Even though we have a striker who most would say was deadly in Aubameyang, we struggle to score goals. Arteta is trying to play five front players but most of them dont fit their role. Without going into too much detail, for example Bellerin. He's playing as like an old fashioned inside right when we get into the final third, with Willian/Pepe further out on the flanks. Liverpool have Mo Salah in that position, Man City have De bruyne/Gundogan. Immediately you see the problem |
I'm stunned Steve Bruce is still in his post at Newcastle.
I think I said in a poll on here Newcastle could go down this season. I didn't think I'd be right in that. However their position is looking bad. It's not a club I'm bothered much about, no disrespect to any Newcastle United fans.. It's a club though which warrants doing better than it is and has been for this season so far. |

Partey looks like he has potential, but I have noticed that he does get injured a lot, I do wonder if he'll end up being a waste of money. And yeah the tactics going forward don't sound great, it explains why Arsenal are struggling to score goals. At least you don't remove your wingers when playing two strikers up front like we did against Millwall though.:joker: |

Hopefully Steve Bruce is getting ready for a second stint at Birmingham City. In all seriousness though I do agree with you that Newcastle United are too bigger club to be facing yet another relegation fight this season. Out of interest Joey is there any Geordie teams that you have a soft spot for? I was interested because you've spent a lot of time in that part of the country so I was wondering if any of their teams ever grabbed your attention in a positive light. |

This kind of brings me to Mattéo Guendouzi. Remember him the player Arteta sent out on loan for disciplinary reasons? He's playing well at Hertha Berlin - not so good today though . Playing so well I think he should be recalled. A midfield of Partey and Ghendouzi looks good to me. The line up I went thru were when we lost all those games at home last year. Arteta compensated by Putting Saka out on the right - we have big problems attacking on our right hand side - and he BTW has been easily our best player this season. No else is close to Saka for Arsenal player of the season. |

I was more in the Manchester region really. Birmingham is my main team and they wrecked my nerves in their last match but won. Phew!! Then I was born in Worcestershire, so more Midlands was my English area. Man Utd is a team I admire though, my Grandad, admired how they rebuilt and came back from the Munich air tragedy. I latched onto Man Utd from him. That's probably the closest to the more North teams I like. I have a soft spot for West Ham too No disrespect to City fans but Man City irritate me too. Just looking at the table now however, if Newcastle lose their next match and Fulham win again. Then Newcastle will be in the bottom 3. Plus Brighton one place above Newcastle have a game in hand too. I'm sure I said on here I thought Newcastle may go down this season, never thinking I'd be right. I'm not yet of course.:joker: |

I thought Guendouzi was great when he was playing for you ... and he was only very, very young . Looked to be a star in the making Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

And I have noticed Saka's potential, I am expecting him to be in the England squad. |

Yeah I'm not in love with Man City either, I respect what they've achieved in such a short space of time, but they're just not one of my favourite teams. If we go to form then Newcastle are gone imo, however I expect them to pull out a big win and doom one of Fulham or Brighton. If you do get Newcastle to go down on here then well done. |
