I called it first tbh. :suspect:

I'll allow you to free style in the background, however.

You should play a drinking game. The country you get everytime they get points have a shot.

Thank god you didn't do this tonight, you'd be smashed.

I'd be dead!

Also, Bonnie was a complete mess, how did she even get there?

Benjamin 18-05-2013 10:56 PM

Benjamin 18-05-2013 10:58 PM

Meh, they were not as hot as I first thought.

Ryan57 18-05-2013 10:58 PM

Do they usually release the amount of votes received from each nation?

Benjamin 18-05-2013 10:58 PM

Also Cascada did **** too.

uh, it's about the best eurovision manages... these aren't songs of brilliance, Ammi. That Danish one is a pipe tune repeated 20 times.

It's as good as the Ukranian and Azerbaijani entries, that's for sure.

..I think our will be much better next week Shaun...and you will totally outshine Petra Mede or whatever she's called...

joeysteele 18-05-2013 11:06 PM

I would look for some much younger talent coming through, not necessarily a big chart name but someone who has had modest success and more to the point maybe has had some current success in other European countries.

It is a gruelling contest for any artiste, there are so many rehearsals and then the show itself.
Bonnie was always likely to be out of her depth becasue she doesn't perform that much still.

She was miles better than Englebert and after all this year we did beat Germany and France in Eurovision so we got the better of them in something.
Pehaps we should also look for a singing talent in this Country that has Russian connections rather than just UK ones, maybe they would bring in more points.

I just really can't see the UK winning this again because I cannot see any major credible artiste wanting to do it now.
No one wants to appear to fail and Eurovision, even in the past had major stars like Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black,Petula Clark,Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones always making sure they would not do it even in the UK's more successful years in Eurovision,so I would say very little chance of getting any current singer/group to agree to it.

I sort of also like the idea of an X Factor,to choose an artiste to represent us in Eurovision too though, they would also gain publicity from the series too which could help get them noticed abroad and with the right song could be more successful.

Well my Danish half of the family is having an absolute party

Ryan57 18-05-2013 11:07 PM

Let's send Gamu. She's come back on the scene now. Great voice on her also.

Romania was robbed!

Shaun 18-05-2013 11:25 PM

I'm pleased Norway and Malta did well. But still baffled by Azerbaijan (I guess because he's easy on the eye) and Ukraine (ditto)'s successes.
