Will be going to the south island in September for a month or so, cannnnnnottttt wait. then Ill do the north island in january not as bothered just going for wellington and hobbitville.

Oh no, North island is fantastic! Bay Of islands, Cape Reinga (sand boarding), Hot Water beach/Corammandel, Waitomo and the caves/black water rafting, Rotorua for the Maori village, luging and geysers, Taupo for a great (and cheap) skydive, the Tongariro Crossing (where they filmed a lot of LOTR), Waiheke Island, River Valley (white water rafting).

Wellington is ok, not a great amount to do there though apart from a few city bits. The ferry journey over from Welly to South Island though is stunning.

North Island has a lot of adventure stuff.

..mind you that looks like a heck of a hill to walk up if you wanted to take a stroll to the bottom of the garden...

Oh what a great garden. I cannot wait to buy a house with acres of land just to stroll around in. I have to wait about another 20 years before that dream becomes reality though. :laugh:

..yeah, I have a real thing about heights but I wish I didn't because I think there's so much I miss out on because of it...I thought you would be ok though with your bungee jumping...I never could do that..:sad:...

I'm petrified of heights, lol. The bungy tested me to my limits. I'm glad I have done it, never again though. :laugh:
