Sarah: No Joel I don't what to say anything out of hand
Joel: Sarah if you've got a problem with me say it
Sarah: Joel lets just leave it
Joel: Sarah tell me what's on your mind
Sarah: Fine, you encourage it
Joel: So you think it's right what Aaron did etc etc

When I said that Joel didn't force "that" out of her, I was talking about the content of her response rather than the response itself. Joel absolutely asks too many questions and is a push asshole, but he didn't force Sarah to express that. Her sentiment would be harrowing to hear from anyone, but especially from A) a woman and B) someone who aspires to be a lawyer.

I am really pleased with how well this round has gone :clap1:

I had nothing to worry about after all. (I will be doing my write up for Caroline when I get home from this work programme I'm stuck on, stay perched)

But if Joel could actually shut his mouth then Sarah would not have said that and try would have had a different conversation in the morning because she knew she was going to speak out of line

I think we should all agree they are both terrible people and it's fantastic they are out so soon :clap1:

Liam- 24-07-2015 09:52 AM

The fact that Sarah didn't want to say what she was going to say just shows that she knows what she said was wrong, I hope she loses any chance of being a lawyer because of what she said, because anyone who has that mentality, shouldn't be allowed any form of 'power' or influence in the law.

Him and helen said way worser things this series.

NO ONE is forcing Sarah to express those sentiments other than Sarah herself. Just like how Aaron being drunk doesn't excuse his actions, Sarah being drunk doesn't excuse her thoughts. It's the fact that those are her thoughts that's troubling in the first place. And it's not even literally telling Joel that he encouraged it (which is bad enough), but it's her smug self-satisfaction that she would certainly never get sexually assaulted because she creates clear interpersonal boundaries unlike some people, and it's like, you're a ****ty person and that's an incredibly ****ty view to hold. What an awful lasting impression to leave.

No joel wouldn't let it go(i like joel) he wanted her to talk about it and she didn't where it got to the point he annoyed her so she just said it. He should have listened to her and speak about it in the morning which was the mature thing to do. She didn't randomly said it did she? No joel forced it out of her. She isn't even a bad person

She is worse than that Adolf Hitler fella!!!

Joel might have pushed to hear her opinion, but he didn't put the disgusting words or opinion into her mouth.

I know you love Sarah for inexplicable reasons but literally nobody forced her to believe that Joel was to blame. Drunk or not, "it is entirely your fault that a dude rubbed his genitalia on you when you didn't want him to do so" is in no way acceptable. Like I've been saying, Joel is annoying as **** and he was certainly being annoying in this instance, but he did not force Sarah to express such a retrograde implication. That one rests entirely with her.

Thank you, more succinct that I could ever. Joel didn't force the content of her opinion out of her, and it's the content that's disgusting.

Don't come for my favourites when you wank over any female housemate that happens to be blonde, back off pal :idc:

Yeah he did tbh, she didn't want to say anything or talk about it,joel made her talk about it and the whole situation is the most OTT thing i've ever seen... She isn't even a nasty person, not condoning in what she said.

Sarah will be pleases she having loads of pages on this thread dedicated to her.

Black Dagger 24-07-2015 10:32 AM

Most relevant she's ever been in her mundane, pathetic life I suppose.

Original comment.... Most of my favourites are not blonde so :idc:

Yes because going on about my support for Helen was remotely a unique comment from your behalf.

Self awareness is a remarkable thing to have.

Liam- 24-07-2015 10:35 AM

If she had come out and apologised for what she said and expressed that she didn't mean it and it was just the drink talking, I'd somewhat buy into the whole 'she was drunk she didn't mean it' argument, but the fact that she hasn't, just goes against her, she's an attention seeking, classless victim blamer who should just be forgotten about and her existence as a housemate swept under the carpet along with her pal Aaron.

Clocked

How do you know she hasn't? She could have said it at the final to him..

Joel isn't to blame for Sarah having such a retrograde point of view. It's not his fault that she's blaming him for receiving a sexual assault. Whether or not Joel was annoying and persistent doesn't change the fact that Sarah holds some pretty grim views on the matter (and it's even more embarrassing considering she's a woman and she wants to be a lawyer)
