You might do.... but you might need to change some of the players first if todays show was anything to go on.

How much a week do you pay a week for that lot of (insert insult here)?

Well it was funny that Sunderland start the season as they ended the last... bottom of the division and losing games. You would thought having dropped back down a division they would have won a couple of games at least by now.

*and stop throwing things at me I'm sure there is a board rule about it*

come on the lads :dance::dance: Sunderland """"""

Man Utd and Chelsea very easy winners today. Liverpool and Arsenal already 2 points adrift, and Tottenham 3 points.

Worry for Arsenal and Liverpool, is that they don't play League games midweek, and even though they may only be 5 points adrift by Wednesday night, with a game in hand, psychologically it can be damaging, and Liverpool have lost 2 of their best players for 2 weeks.

Portmsouth were top for 22 hours anyway :dazzler:

InTheHood 22-08-2006 09:10 PM

What an evening of football!

So many shocks in League Cup, and another poor performance from Liverpool, this time in CL, and Haifa weren't even at home. They are through though, but what would concern me, is without top players, the replacements don't look up to it. Only beginning of season, so Liverpool can only get better.

Peter Crouch appears to be Liverpool and England's saviour right now.

Siouxsie 22-08-2006 09:40 PM

I cant beleieved quinney has resigned boo hoo:shocked::sad::sad:

Dan_ 22-08-2006 10:33 PM

I'm not suprised you lost to Bury who cannot even win a game in league 2.He'll have a good replacement in by the weekend but the current squads not upto it.

Good wins for Barnet and Hereford tonight.Big Trev not long out of jail with 2 cracking goals for Barnet so I hear, he did a triple backflip after scoring .

sol 22-08-2006 10:34 PM

Oh my God, I completely forgot about the Carling Cup!!

*Goes to see if Plymouth won*

Warning: I may come back in a bad mood

EDIT:  Plymouth 0-1 Walsall

Oh well, you might be lucky.

Weymouth are doing really well in the Conference aren't they.
I want Exeter and Weymouth to go up from the Conference this season.

BigSister 22-08-2006 11:34 PM

Hopefully *crosses fingers*

InTheHood 22-08-2006 11:51 PM

11 of tonight's 28 Carling Cup games, were won by a side in a lowe division.

Take out the 5 games between games in the same division, that's 11 of 23 games between teams in different divisions, that were won by the lower league side.

Nearly 50%, good for football.

Not Stevenage then :laugh:.Weymouth will go out of business soon as they bought the league last season and their chairman's soon going to get sick of having to pay out more money at the end of the season to keep them going as the crowds aren't good enough, they are proably breaking the wage cap limit anyway judging by the players they have and the crowds they got last season, unless the turnover from other sources is helping to pay the wages and the debt they got from paying for good players whilst still in conf south and paying off Steve Claridge's contract.
